Just go. If in the area, even vaguely, make a point to go. Open fri-sun. Delicious. Â And the owner is super friendly. Â Had the pit beef for dinner tonight. Simple, short menu, Â and perfect selections... Â Now I'm home, back in Alexandria, and am already jonesin' for more. Thank god I'll be back in WV next Saturday!
Review Source:Saw the sign on the road and had to pull over. Â Suspected the man was the real deal when I saw the serious smoker on the side of the humble digs. -- and confirmed it when I bit into the 1/2 rack of baby backs on the outdoor tables situated next to some junkyard trucks ( which is - of course - perfect BBQ visual accompaniment.)
The ribs? Â Damn.
Meaty, tender, moist with a subtle and balanced flavor from long  smoke and a complex  brown sugar topped rub and tasty sauce.  A great deal for the quality, especially with the kind complimentary tastes of the pulled pork and the brisket (pit beef) from the pitmaster / owner. BTW the beef rocked is next on my list when I swing through town again. Â
This guy does not F*** around with the meat. Â Damn Good Job.
