Rice House Chinese Restaurant

Just days after finding out one of our local (Joplin, MO) Chinese favorites was closing, my boyfriend and I found ourselves on a day trip to nearby Baxter Springs.  Unsure of where to eat, we decided to give Rice House a try because it was not a buffet and had plenty of seafood and vegetarian options on the menu.  We're very glad we did.  Everything we ordered was excellent.  His Vegetable Mei Fun was delicious and my Shrimp with Cashew was perfect, with a ton of carrots, broccoli & celery.  The rice was perfect and the hot n' sour soup was the second best I've had anywhere...which for me, is saying a lot, because I love hot n' sour and I'm VERY picky about it.  Theirs was just the right amount of spice and they are not stingy with the tofu.  Yum.  Very friendly service and a small, cute dining room.  We'll be back!
