Rico's is a little Mexican market with a grill and a counter to eat at. Â The ambience is nonexistent, but the food is to die for. Â The tacos are mexican style - corn tortillas heated on the grill, filled with your choice of meat with cilantro and onion on top. Â They will ask you if you want American style, and I think they put cheese and lettuce on those instead of cilantro and onion. Â The burritos are giant and delicious. Â His tortas are fabulous. Â The choices of meat are carne asada (beef - not ground), al pastor (spicy pork), carnitas (roast pork), chicken, chorizo, and some others not usually popular with Americans (intestines and hog maws). Â "Al pastor" is always good, and carnitas are my favorite, but sometimes they make the carnitas a bit too salty. Â His shrimp cocktail is just the way I remember it from childhood along the beaches of Baja California - soupy, spicy and delicious.
