This place is great. Definitely a hidden gem in the middle of no-where. I stopped here for lunch during a motorcycle trip. I was very impressed - lots of great menu choices including amazing sandwiches, salads, pies, coffee, smoothies, and so-on. The service was very friendly and pleasant. The place also has a great out-door seating patio with a lot of of shade and tables. Awesome cafe all around.
Review Source:If you happen to be in the area and you are missing San Francisco's great cafes you have found your new home away from home. Â This place is awesome. Â Coffees, vegetable juices, smoothies, bagels, sandwiches.. Â I even took a photo of the cool menu sign. Â I will go back for sure anytime I am back in the area!
Review Source:My husband Frank and I stopped by today for a bite to eat. Â We both had the club house sandwich on whole wheat and a glass of fresh lemonade. Â The food was yummy and the service was great! Â It is a darling place to stop and take a break in. Â Christina was so welcoming, we will go back there for sure next time we are out in North San Juan. Â I was a little hesitant to give a good review, because then LOTS of people will go out there, but oh well...we LOVED it!
Review Source:Very cute and eclectic cafe painted a cheery yellow with a little white picket fence and a few tables in front where you can sit and watch the occasional 4 x 4 go by, or a local strolling by. Â Inside is original artwork, a warren of small rooms, each painted in bright colors, and a few tables.
The furthest room has a selection of instruments to play in the back including a piano and a banjo. As the kids toys are next to the piano, I'm not sure if it is to encourage children to play with them or it's just where they ended up but, with the comfy small couches, it's definitely a friendly and convivial place for adults and children. Not knowing if they do this or not, I think a weekly storytelling hour would be great, especially if done by 2 people, one being a musician to accompany the stories.
The food is all locally sourced and organic as far as I can tell and they offer a selection of bowls, wraps, tacos, salads, sandwiches, and great coffee including espresso drinks! Â Vegan and vegetarian friendly too:-)
I met Sarah who is the new owner with a partner and she is very charming and gracious so I hope she does well enough to stay in business. It would be a loss to the community if they closed. By the way, if you live in the area, she's hiring!
