This place is set far back probably 100 ft. from the street so look for it..great wings laid back place. Burgers great and hand cut fries are seasoned just right. If your looking for low key I recommend this. It's ok for kids too...

Your typical sports bar, local hangout. I like these types of joints. This place was very spacious, but the layout left it lacking any real vibe. It had a decent-sized crowd, but again because of the spread out nature of the layout, there wasn't any real personality to the place. That being said, I would probably hit this place up again. They served up decent bar standards and good beer at very reasonable prices. The service was also on point when it came to keeping the beers flowing and your glasses full.

I would suggest any version of the burger here...and also suggest it medium rare. The tacos were really good as well, and the extensive menu would take many visits to get through.

Place was loud, but not so much so that you couldn't carry on a conversation. The main bar seemed to have the most action, but I can only imagine what this spot looks like when DJ Two Rivers is in the house scribbling and tearing. (or DJ Dos Rios as he calls himself on Thursday Latin Night)

There are arcade games in one area of the bar that is adjacent to some additional seating. Again, I am not sure where Two Rivers sets up, but I would think this would be the area to sit if you were to bring children here...although I think it best to do so early.

Tasty black bean burger, side salad of champions, and wonderful house-made (I'm assuming) creamy balsamic dressing... My friend let it be known that she loved her burger. The atmosphere is very "Vermont." The bartender was friendly and attentive.

We just got back from spending Columbus Day weekend in Stowe. We were having a heck of a time finding decent food and a decent bar and the last night we came upon Rimrock's. My only complaint was that we didn't go there sooner. It's a tavern, so don't expect a 5-star dining experience. That being said, the burger was DELICIOUS! And the quality was excellent--they use grass-fed beef, which was a pleasant surprise. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and the staff was attentive. Also, the vibe was good: comfortable, friendly, a good place to watch a game. I would definitely skip the over-priced/low-quality "fancy" restaurants in Stowe in favor of Rimrock's.

It is what it is. The food is mediocre as well as the service. It's a bit STANKY (establishment & some of the service staff included)

They were so accommodating to 14 of us! Great sandwiches, burgers, and drinks!

Had dinner there on a weekday during the winter, so it wasn't too crowded. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Started off with the mozzarella sticks, I had a very large salad, and my husband had a burger - all were great. They also had a nice selection of beers. If you're looking for a casual restaurant/bar in Stowe, definitely give them a try.

The food was nothing special, the beer selection was disappointing, and the service was just bad. I really wish we had gone somewhere else.

I found this place while looking for a bar and grill to watch the football game at while we were in Stowe. I read the reviews by fellow yelpers and I was not lead astray! While the menu is not available online at all from what I could find, I can tell you that it is the typical bar food you would expect just elevated a notch. For example, while we were there they had 50 cent wing specials, pulled chicken tacos, and a burrito. The menu consisted of traditional wings/apps as well as some great sandwich options. I had been craving a Philly cheese steak so went down that road while my boyfriend ordered a variety of wings and some tacos. The Philly cheese was out of this world! On it was cheese, mushrooms, onions and banana peppers mixed together in a great sandwich that just melted in your mouth. The fries were great steak fries that complimented the meal, and I'm pretty sure they homemade their own ketchup or did something to it b/c it tasted really sweet and savory. The pulled pork tacos had so much flavor for just being bar tacos and the wings were great too. I would say my favorite were the bbq only because buffalo hurts your lips after a day of skiing. All in all, food rocked, atmosphere was great, and our bill for all of this and a beer was $26!

Great food for a day you just want a simple meal after skiing or want to watch a game with the locals.

Best burger I've had in a long time - greatly exceeded my expectations. Walking into this place you don't expect much as it's a typical bar with some side rooms with high top tables and huge flat screens everywhere. Service was a little slow as there was only one waitress for the entire bar, but she was friendly and doing the best that she could.

There is no better place in Stowe to come on a Sunday to watch NFL games and eat some delicious pub fare.

I haven't yet gone here for a sit-down bar experience, but we did order a plethora of wings, tenders, rings and fries for take-out. The food was very good. With the sad closing of the Shed, we'll be looking for a good bar to go to. From the few minutes I spent waiting for our takeout order to get packaged, Rimrock's may be a reasonable substitute.

Probably the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Dont get me wrong, I wanted to like Rimrocks as we come to Stowe every weekend. Love the atmosphere but everything else fell short. On not busy evening, waiter abandoned us and we had to order at the bar. When food finally came almost nothing came as ordered. Burger charred black, missing side order, and cold. Kitchen substituted mushrooms for asparagus without heads up. Wanted to like Rimrocks and we're not hard to please, but won't be coming back. Waiter knew it was bad experience. Would have been nice if he had sent manager over.

Great local joint for burgers and a beer. Eight taps, handcut fries, and 8 oz grass-fed beef burgers! The owner-manager John is a friendly guy and no doubt the easy-going atmosphere is a reflection of him. He took the time to talk to my kids about the wildlife photos and trophies that decorate the joint. If you want a nice cold beer, a burger, and a mountain of delicious fries, this is your place!

My biggest regret while in Stowe was eating at another place when I could have had lunch and dinner at Rimrock's Tavern. I was in town for one day on business and certainly [with the benefit of hindsight] would have spent my money there both times. The food was excellent - even if it was delivered by totally nutty and massively offensive bartender - and the Switchback was delicious. The food was very obviously fresh and excellently prepared. All the staff I met were top shelf - even the crazy barmaid. If you haven't been, go. Very good, very fun.

I was genuinely surprised by the fun and lighthearted atmosphere in here on a Friday night. I generally haven't been too keen on going out to bars in Stowe, but this place was friendly and convivial and not too crowded to be obnoxious, but crowded enough to be hopping. I would say this is the best place to go out in stowe for anyone in their 20's-30's.

Went there after a conference in Stowe for dinner with a large group of friends. The food came pretty quickly, and the sweet potatoe fries were a hit, but on the whole the food was pretty mediocre. About on par for typical bar fare. The drinks came quickly, and the atmosphere was fine. Pool table, several TV's over the bar, pretty standard. There was some difficulty with the bill at the end of the night, largely due to http://Restaurant.com screwing this bar over. The manager went above and beyond to help us out, but not without some vocal regret.

If you want a beer after skiing, perhaps with a burger to go with it, this is a good bet.

This is an awesome late night fall/summer bar. Its got a local feel, but you can just walk in and get a beer at night. There's a huge patio area, descent sized dance floor, and an amazingly fast bartender.

I met up with a small group I had just met at the snowflake resort early in the night. They said they'd be there, and as we walked in.. well there they were!

Our two groups merged to take up one of the giant tables on the patio (next to a st. bernard puppy). As we got drinks, and whiled the night away, groups of people would join and leave us.

Overall, drinks were reasonable (keep in mind I'm coming from boston) and the place has an amazing layout if you're with a group with diverse tastes.

The Giant St. Bernard helped too...

Solid mountain town pub atmosphere with a local feel. Great spot for a winter birthday bash, catching a game or an ice day on the hill. Solid tunes fill the air and the bartender is as laid back as they come. Be sure to try the drink specials and thank John on your way out!
