The River Bistro

I have been here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed.  I always try his specials, which are thought quite well and fantastic.  His burger and fries are great.  The black bean burger rocks as well.  The tartar sauce is homemade, like everything else, and the beer battered fish great.  Best pineapple upside down cake I have had.  You cannot go wrong with this place.

Unassuming exterior gives way to a spectacular river view dining by the lake inside. The carefully prepared assortment of dishes, excellent service, and charming, not too big/not too small setting makes it a perfect experience.

Good selections of wines by the glass - they were out of the Rioja , so I had the Cabernet - which was equally good.  The corn fritters with a bechamel-style sauce was melt--in-your-mouth.  We tried the Lamb kebob over saffron rice -tender and delicious, and shared a large eclectic salad that included apples, blue cheese, walnuts and grilled chicken on top.  Mouth watering.

There was so much more we wanted to try and order, but we will definitely come back again to do so.
