Very average, but right up my ally. I wish I could give 3.5 stars, because that's what it actually is. It's a sports bar, so don't bother with the fancy stuff, and don't expect anything fancy. The price is what you'd expect of a sports bar, so a little above average. Beers are average in price and selection, liquor/mixed drinks more expensive than average given its New Milford location. Always a game on, and every seat has an excellent view of at least one very large TV. Service is what you'd expect from a sports bar: very good during the week and before 8:00 pm; overwhelmed and slow on the weekends and after 8:00 pm. Very good wings, not excellent, but still very good. Wings are definitely better than TK's, and so is the atmosphere. Waitresses usually very attractive. In summation, go there with the guys to catch a game, eat some wings, have a beer, ogle the waitresses, and go home. On the weekends it's packed and they usually have a far-too-loud band playing not good music.
Highlights: Definitely the wings. Not 10/10, but probably a solid 8/10. I would definitely recommend the spicy garlic, those might bump up to 9/10.
Hidden treat: There are two: 1. The fries. They need salt (as all fries nowadays do), but man were they good. 2. The Tuesday night salmon filet special. I hate fish, but everyone I know swears by it, and from memory on Tuesday you can get two entrees from a list for the price of one, and I think the salmon was on the list.
Drawbacks: The weekends and the later parts of the nights, as well as the price of liquor/mixed drinks. It's so loud and crowded on the weekends you'll never get any service of any kind, and for whatever reason the irresponsible adult patrons who purvey this place think it's OK to bring their 10-year-old kids (plural) to a sports bar at 10:30 pm and not actually supervise them.
Sure, it's a sports bar...probably the best sports bar in the area! That said, the food is exceptional....from appts to entrees, everything is mouth watering. Had a NY Strip steak that was better than any area restaurant....all in all, 1st & 10 needs to be on your list to visit. Good job folks!
