I went here on a culinary adventure with my friend. We randomly pick a place between our two cities and head out to see what the menu and ambiance hold.
This one was a pleasant surprise. It looks like your typical bar from the outside, dirty windows, neon signs, dingy door. When you get inside, it's no different.
The wait staff/bartender was very friendly and nice. She brought drinks right away, made excellent menu recommendations.
My boyfriend had the turkey club wrap, which he said was excellent. My friend had the Reuben, which she finished to the last crumb (a testament to it's tastiness). I had the steak house salad, which was pretty good.
Overall the tab with four drinks and an appetizer came to $50.
While this my not be a place that I go out of my way to visit, I will definitely swing by here if I'm in the neighborhood and looking for friendly, fast service, with some good bar staples.
The food was much better a few years back. Then that cook left and the food was terrible. They have a new cook the food is better but is still not as good as it use to be. If you want a drink you apparently must have to be friends with the main bartender. She will walk by you and not ask if you need anything . It's up to you to get her attention to get a drink.
