Finn McGuire's Irish Pub & Grill

We have gone here several times on friday night for their fish fry.  This is currently my favorite fish fry that is still in operation.

The price is reasonable and the amount of food you get is very good.  My wife gets the baked fish and our friend and my self get the fried.  You have the choice of potato pancakes which are very good here.  And the cole slaw is very good, not sour like some other places.

It is noisy, but you should expect this level of noise from a good sized pub.

We went there for lunch. I had their Mac n Cheese. It was good but the "garlic bread" that came with it was stale and tasteless. How do u goof up bread?  I asked for butter in hope that I could resurrect it but even Wisconson's creamy butter was not enough to help.  I ended up taking it home to my dog. He liked it but that's not saying much.  My daughter had their fish and said it was good. Not the best but certainly good enough to order in future. Service was prompt & friendly. I think this place is overpriced for the quality of their food.

I don't write many reviews, but this place deserves an "avoid at all costs" warning.
I can take loud anytime, but I can't stand poor service, which is what we received.  The waitress was a young ditz who tried to impress us with her "quickness" which basically meant rattling off the specials no one could understand, tossing our soup crackers in front of us as we watched them slide off the table, and placing the soup in front of one person and expecting them to pass it down.

For a table of 6 people she stood at one end and asked for our choices (mind you the place is very loud and one of the people at our table was an 80 year old grandma).  She couldn't be bothered to walk around the table to take the order.

Fast forward to forgetting to bring 2 of the drinks and completely missing one of the appetizers so we had to tell her to take it off the bill.  Everyone at our table just commented how awful she was.  Unfortunately I was with good tippers who still left her 20%.  Ugh.  Had it been up to me, she would have gotten zero %, plus a stop to the manager on the way out.

Needless to say, 6 people will not be going back.
