The Chili was sweet and mono-flavored.  No depth.  Should have had the buffet I suppose, but I don't eat that much.  It was a local joint close to the hotel.

Think Grandma's house on a holiday.  This is Mecca for older folks on Tuesday and Thursday.  If you want a good homemade meal at a good price, this is the place to go.  The buffet has always been fresh and well taken care of when I have visited.  I have sampled everything over the last couple years, and never regretted it.  The fried chicken is excellent.  Definitely a cracker / milk / flour style like my Grandma always made.  The pies are equally good, and homemade.  I don't grade on ambiance, but it doesn't really have any.  The food and friendly old people make up for it!

One of the best buffets I've experienced. They had all the food I enjoy. It is clean and fresh and the price is not too bad.

We were in Brookville, Ohio on business  (How often do you hear THAT??), and my wife's sister lives in the area, so we wanted to find a place for a late lunch.  She suggested Rob's, and I'm glad she did.

It rather reminded me of a Sunday, family dinner at Grandma's house.  A VERY nice lunch buffet for the bargain prize of 7.45 with my senior discout.  7.95 for those under 55.

The fried chicken was amazing.  Pot Roast was tender and tasty.  The pizza was quite good, and the philly beef sandwiches on the buffet were a nice touch.

My family RAVED about the green beans, but, since I generally avoid anything green, I can't attest to that. :)

The desert bar was awesome, and that was some darn fine Strawberry Shortcake I topped the meal off with.

If I had to describe Rob's in one word, I'd use "Americana".  It's the best of small town Midwest all in one place.  We'll certainly be back!

IMHO, this buffet is better than Lady & Sons.  Small town place with lots of space.  My kids said the place could have been a little cleaner, I was focused on the food.  No one cleans off the high chairs anywhere; maybe a little extra attention please.

There was a salad bar with plenty of items if that's all you wanted.  Then there was a hot bar with basically Thanksgiving dinner, a giant pile of a round roast as pot roast, and plenty of kid friendly selections.  Prices seemed very reasonable and the service was very prompt.

Take the Brookville exit off of I-70 and head south to get here.

Rob's has been serving good food locally since 1976. Rob's serves from a full menu, or choose to go to their full service buffet. They always have a nice selection of good home cooked style foods that bring the locals back time and again because of their fair prices and good hometown service. Always clean, nice facilities, and friendly staff. Rob's also has a meeting room, and full service catering. Seniors receive a discount on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Have been to Rob's for breakfast and dinner now.  Breakfast is definitely their strong point.  I won't bother with dinner anymore but will return for breakfast.

You throw up globs when you eat at Rob's.

I guess if you like buffets and quantity over quality, you might like Rob's.  The food was very mediocre.  The salad bar was fine, but typical of salad bars.  The hot food was not very good.
    I won't be returning.
