Rockin'robin's Soda Shoppe

My Son & I went to Rockin Robin's today for lunch. We walked in customers looked at us like who are you, I felt uncomfortable at first then I just ignored it! Every Booths tables were dirty not cleared of dishes so had to take table with chairs instead! I don't know how long we sat their till two ladies walked in, the waitress that was texting on her phone noticed them walking in an ran to clear a booth! Then she grab a couple of menus for the ladies the saw my son & I, asked if we had been waited on stupidly I say we came in before they she took that as yes & went on to the ladies! I said no we have not been waited on! Of course she would have noticed us if she had not been totally engrossed in her cell phone! She was even facing the door when we walked in didn't see us or notice us till the two ladies! Forget we were there 5-10 minutes before them. She took care of them before us, whatever! Anyway she finally took care of us! I ordered a large soda so I could get a refill! She brought our food my son never got his coleslaw that comes with the meal, she neber offered my refill & when she did come back asked us if we wanted desert we said yeah we wanted a box to take what we had left she took our basket of food! Now mind you the whole time we was there 95% of the time she was texting on here phone!!! Some customers had went to leave didn't want to be bothered with ringing them out told the other waitress to do it! The other waitress ran her but off while we was there & she brought me my refill while our waitress played on her phone!!! When we had walked in 4 booths was not cleared, 3 booths had customers & 3 customers at the counter! The good waitress had 2 tables and the counter! The neglecting waitress had 1 table & there were a bunch of dirty tables! While why all the while she is texting on the phone! I am adamant about tipping cause I've been a waitress an this can be th majority of your income! Needless to say I didn't leave a tip! The food was really good though!!!

Dirty. The floors were filthy. This is our 3rd attempt to visit, hoping that it will improve. Not. The wait staff are always dressed like they should be cleaning the floors (which haven't been cleaned in quite some time). This is a small quaint place in a great location with a great theme. (The jukebox wasnt even turned on 2 times we were there). It is a shame that the staff are immature and lack the personality for a 50s themed, river side restaurant. They will ignore you when you come in and when your food finally arrives, they find other interests than to check on you for refills or desserts. Gah, I will not go in there again. I wish it would reopen under new management or new owners. Its sad. Someone call Gordon Ramsey!

Rockin' Robins has excellent dessert choices and memorabilia to match. Try the chicken salad on croissant if you're there for lunch...it's wonderful. Plus they have great catering prices.
