I took my wife to Roof tops on a date night.  We were seated right away; we were the only people there.  I will say I had a great meal, the Prime rib was great and cooked just like I asked.  The potato soup was great, I had two orders instead of salad.  However; my wife's meal was not good. She wanted halibut and they were out.  She then wanted chicken piccata, they were out.  So, she got a kc strip cooked medium.  It came out well done and the potatoes come out ice cold, like out of the cooler cold.  The service was fine, nothing to complain, or write home about.  For a place that claims to be "fine dining" in Hays, it is far from.

The most overpriced restaurant in all of Hays, especially considering the poor quality.  What may have been a nice restaurant in 1987 has become an expensive and disappointing night out. From the drinks to the mediocre food, every item is over-priced. In our last outing there, the market price for frozen lobster tail, served burnt, turned out to be $80.  The steaks and pastas were all swimming in sauce. Do yourself a favor and just eat at one of the chain restaurants in town. You'll save half the money and the quality will probably be better.
