I took my wife to Roof tops on a date night. Â We were seated right away; we were the only people there. Â I will say I had a great meal, the Prime rib was great and cooked just like I asked. Â The potato soup was great, I had two orders instead of salad. Â However; my wife's meal was not good. She wanted halibut and they were out. Â She then wanted chicken piccata, they were out. Â So, she got a kc strip cooked medium. Â It came out well done and the potatoes come out ice cold, like out of the cooler cold. Â The service was fine, nothing to complain, or write home about. Â For a place that claims to be "fine dining" in Hays, it is far from.
Review Source:The most overpriced restaurant in all of Hays, especially considering the poor quality. Â What may have been a nice restaurant in 1987 has become an expensive and disappointing night out. From the drinks to the mediocre food, every item is over-priced. In our last outing there, the market price for frozen lobster tail, served burnt, turned out to be $80. Â The steaks and pastas were all swimming in sauce. Do yourself a favor and just eat at one of the chain restaurants in town. You'll save half the money and the quality will probably be better.
