The Roosters Wife

How fortunate we are to have a thriving little music venue like The Rooster's Wife. The folks are warm and friendly and the talent they bring in is first class. Enjoy outdoor concerts in the spring and summer, and in the winter treat yourself to intimate shows indoors with big soft sofas, wine and chocolate chip cookies (by donation).

I've met some of the coolest folks at The Rooster's Wife and can't wait to return for even more musical bliss.

We went to a concert here last night.  It was a great venue. Very intimate. Wonderful ceiling fans that kept the warm night air moving.
Choices for enjoying your evening include: bringing your own chairs, or bringing a picnic, beverages, whatever you like and what will make you happy. They offer beer and wine for a donation. They have an eclectic variety of chairs like a couple of couches and some dining type chairs, some with armrests and some without.
Make sure you bring cash for tickets and even possibly a cd from the artist du jour.
They do have a website, but it can difficult to navigate. Janet, the Roosters wife, seems like a lovely person who genuinely cares about providing a stream of talent to enrich all of our lives. Thank you!!!

The Rooster's Wife is a private non-profit association organized to celebrate the performing arts in Aberdeen, North Carolina. We produce events year round . Our home base is Poplar Knight Spot, a gallery located at 114 Knight Street in downtown Aberdeen, two blocks east of US 1, just east of the corner of Poplar and Knight . The gallery is totally accessible with parking adjacent to the building at 114 Knight Street in downtown Aberdeen. Tickets may be purchased on line through the web site, or at the door with cash or check. Children under twelve are always free at the Rooster's Wife events, furthering the mission of building community through the arts.
