Rouge Cat

This I would consider this the official gay bar of Santa Fe. Kind of fufu decor. Lounge like and chill.  Good Vibes,Nice upstairs bar and friendly bartenders. Dance floor and bar downstairs w/ ok music. It was fun place to dance.

I went in here knowing it was super cheesy, I just wanted  a cocktail. I ordered a sidecar. The bartender didn't know how to make one and asked me if I knew. I don't know if it gets any simpler than that. I know the score with ordering cocktails in small towns and I'm not trying to be a pompous new yorker, but that's a little extreme. The place looks like a teenaged girls bedroom also. That or a strip club.

The bartender was nice, we asked for hot toddy's on a cold December night and he kindly obliged.  The place looks fancy, they are definitely going for a bouji fancy look and can come off a little over the top for the area, especially when their bathrooms are infested with fruit flies.  But regardless not a bad place to stop in for a quick drink before or after your walk-about in the zocalo nearby.
