This place is so cool... I love the patio!!!!!!! Didn't even know that was out in the back of it until recently. A huge beach volley ball court wIth tiki bar.. My kind of place!! Haven't been there winter yet, so I am curious what it will be like. THe pizza my husband and I had was actually really good. I was expecting just a regular tasting pizza, but it was super sized! And yummy! And they had these little pizza pocket/roll things I forgot what they were called, but good too! Hope to go back again before the end of the summer..

Horrible. Terrible. Disgusting and obnoxious.

I don't know why I've given this place so many chances, but I've been there 4 times in the past two years.

The food is gross, there are CURTAINS for doors in the bathroom, asshole cocaine-laden bartenders ignore you until you're waving them down to get a drink (boyfriend was in the bathroom last night watching them do lines off the sink. Seriously).

Once, wanting to stop in for a quick drink and snack at 1am, I strolled in with my man and asked if they were still serving food. The bartender growled "Fried food" in reply and stood there and stared at me like he was waiting on ME to serve HIM. WTF? I then had to ask for a menu, and he walk off to the other side of the bar to stare mindlessly at some tv while I waited to get a drink. Five minutes later, still not served and livid, I left and went to my trusty dive down the road. So, yeah. The bartenders are awful. And rude. And they don't want to give you drinks or food, which pretty much means they shouldn't had jobs as tenders of bars.

There are porto potties on one side of the patio and with the occasional wind gust, you'll know it. I feel so gross right now I'm going to go take a shower. Carmen OUT.

Let me start by saying I go to the Rusty Nail every Thursday night for the open mic comedy night and karaoke.

Here are pros:
They have really good food at the Nail. I suggest the pizza and the buffalo chicken dip. YUM. They have a big volley ball court outside for players. There is a lot of room there - I am seldom cramped inside. Comedy and Karaoke are really fun with friends at the Nail.

Here are the cons:
I recommend only getting beer at the Nail. I ordered a Jack on the rocks with a lime (my fave drink and my first drink of the evening) - the bartender did a ONE second pour and charged me over $7. Myself - and several of my friends have noticed that the bartenders seldom (if ever) give you a 4 second or two fingered pour (industry standard) on a mixed drink or straight up. Maybe the staff has been told to do so by owners to maintain the crowd and drunks - I don't know, but every single one of my friends has noticed it...I thought it was just me at first. So - it's not my imagination. Just get a beer and you won't feel robbed on a mixed drink.

Atmosphere is so-so at the Nail. If you plan on participating or watching the comedy open mic - DO NOT expect a respectful, quiet audience. The crowd here is usually loud, rowdy, obnoxious, and full of hecklers. (From what I understand, the crowd is like this all week long.) However - if you want to see some comics entertain the crowd by interacting with drunks and insulting them from stage - you will not be disappointed. In fact, that's usually the highlight of the evening, and quite funny to watch.

The Nail is smoking friendly, and boy is it ever smokey. Don't even bother going if you are allergic or sensitive to smoke.

Best night to check out is definitely Thursdays.
