I miss this place!! The portions are pretty hearty, & filling. I took my boyfriend here & he ordered a steak. He said it was the best steak he has ever had! Can't go wrong with a Wyoming steak.
This place is pretty unique for boring Sheridan - while waiting for your food you can study the old artifacts on the walls. The old signage is awesome! Everything from vintage skiis, to old license plates, to rusty gas station signs.
When I'm in town, I always have to order the brick of onion rings! Thats all I get since it's so filling & greasy.
I loved this place, and it's rare for me to give a  anything 5 stars. The food was great, the beer even better, the atmosphere fitting, the prices reasonable and the service was just right. The beer: Blacktooth Saddlebronk Brown, brewed locally--and only a buck. (The visit was made better because we were able to watch the Blackhawks beat the Bruins and take the Stanley Cup that night.)
Review Source:Stopped in this place when we couldn't find a restaurant we were looking for. Â It was the perfect place to stop for lunch with kids. Â A huge menu with nearly too many options. Â The decor is fun and the kids loved looking at all the stuff hanging all over the walls and ceiling - license plates, car parts, random odd knick knacky things. Â
The food is pretty typical pub type food and decent at that. Â
The service was outstanding. Â Our server was friendly, polite, sharp and attentive - best service I've had in a while. Â
We'll be hitting this place again when we go back to Sheridan.
Despite all the Yelp reviews I had previously read, I wouldn't have believed this place unless I experienced it for myself. Â If you like pub grub done right, this is the restaurant for you!
1) Great menu, many choices
2) Fun decor
3) Huge servings, and everything tasted great!
4) My kids (ages 5 and 8) loved it- especially the ice cream cup at the end
5) Very reasonably priced
The only downside: I doubt I'll ever find myself in Sheridan again so I can go back to Sanford's. Â :,(
I have never seen so many decorations on the walls of one restaurant. Has a lot of character. More importantly it has great food and great beer. Had "what came first". Which was a Cajun chicken sandwich with cheese an egg and bacon on it. It was amazing. Recommend that with freddies on the side. It a type of potato that you have to try.
Review Source:I like this restaurant for the huge fun quirky menu and even more quirky decor.  The portions are large and the food is good although it all seems to taste a bit of cajun seasoning no matter what you order.  Best beer selection in Sheridan.  This is a good place for a casual business meeting or for a fun meal before a movie  (the theater is across the street).
Review Source:Love this place!! Â What a great collection of memorabilia on the walls, puts Applebees to shame, and love the old Wyoming license plates imbedded in the floor. Â The staff is friendly, service is fast and the cajon food is as good as you're going to get this far north. Â Was blown away by the size of the meal when it was delivered to my table. Â $1 pints of domestic beer is a bonus! Â Make sure you're not in a hurry, the menu itself takes some time to wade though. Â Would recommend everyone stop in and give them a try.
Review Source:Had been on the road all day, so we stopped for the night in Sheridan, WY to crash and eat. Â
We ordered fairly basic burgers- but the menu is enormous to almost overwhelming. Â There is something for everyone. Â
Burgers were absolutely delicious and HUGE! Â The cajun fries were also a fun flavor. Â By the looks of what our neighbors were eating, the steak looked amazing!
Sanford's had big portions, big soda, fun atmosphere(covered in memorabilia like old pictures, ski shoes, bicycles), friendly service, average prices (basic burger $8.50).
If you want some tasty affordable food, I would recommend this place!
On Main St. in Sheridan. Â Had dinner on a Sunday evening, and the place was packed with an eclectic mix of folks. Â Lots and lots of artifacts on the walls. Â Service was about average. Â Food was good: Â we both had beef burgers with sweet potato fries (they call them sweet Georgia browns). Â Lots of beers to choose from. Â It is a pub, too! Â Would go again.
