Stopped here based on Yelp reviews.  Very clean & neat restaurant and friendly staff.  What was not mentioned in other reviews was this spot achieves home style  cooking without frying!  Eggs were poached or scrambled, and bacon was microwaved.  Once past this philosophical hurdle, breakfast was actually pretty good.  I had the "Mess", which was scrambled eggs with bacon, ham, sausage, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes & green pepper.  The kitchen left out the peppers at my request, and the resulting "mess" was delicious!  My wife had the breakfast special; perfectly cooked poached eggs, microwaved bacon, & pancakes.  Her only complaint was slightly doughy pancakes, but the personal sized pitcher of melted butter kept her happy.  Overall, a pleasant experience, but be aware things are done a little differently here.
Review Source:This tiny little restaurant in tiny little Coleman, Texas was quite a surprise. We arrived on a Sunday morning en route home from a vacation. Â It seemed the town was deserted - nothing was open. I Yelped a bit and found Sara's.
It's basically a converted gas station, so the exterior and interior are quite unimpressive. But the food is outstanding!
I had a panini Reuben - piping hot and perfect. My wife had a salad from the you-won't-believe-a-salad-bar-like-this-is-here salad bar with its incredibly fresh vegetables and fruits. She also had the bbq chicken breast. She really liked it, although I thought it was just okay. The owner told us that his smoker had broken and he had to cook the chicken a different way. It was good, but I'd really like to know what his chicken is supposed to taste like.
The sides were also excellent. We did not have any desserts.
It looks to be a family-run place. Sara actually cooks the food. Her husband runs the register and chats up the customers. This is the kind of small-town gem you really love to find.
