Come here for their light American lunches (sandwiches, wraps, salads). After a long road-trip through Western North Carolina (ate a LOT of bbq, and other generally unhealthy "road trip" food), we took a quick lunch break at Sassy's and it was healthy and delicious!
We ordered: the turkey rueben, potato soup, and salads. All were made with fresh ingredients and great flavors. The side salads were made with mesclun lettuce and fresh veggies (we were expecting ice berg lettuce from a bag). Everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
Plus, there's free wi-fi.
My daughter and I stopped at this cafe for lunch while visiting Cherokee, NC. Â It was mid afternoon and although the lunch hour was over, they graciously served us. Â We had a fruited water to drink along with a delicious chicken salad sandwich on walnut-cranberry bread. Â The serving was generous and filling. Â The chicken salad was high quality and well made. Â We had a bowl of corn chowder which was perfect -- served hot and immediately. Â The cafe is located next to a small strip mall where we shopped for leather goods and other items. Â Service was excellent and the decor was light and perfect for its name: Â Sassy Sunflowers! Â Would go back for sure.
