Scotto's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

I went here with the family a little while back.

It's an old Pizza Hut and they have done very little to do anything to make it their own place.

It feel old and slightly dank. At least some of the chairs were plastic patio furniture.

The food was not good.

The sauce was bland and there was way too much of it on everything. The meat in my cannelloni was strange, It had a very weird texture. It reminded me  of the little sausage pieces you get on cheap frozen pizza.

My wife had lasagna and there was so much melted cheese on top it was almost funny.

My kids had spaghetti and it was OK, but like everything else it had way too much sauce.

The server kept forgetting things and was borderline rude.

I am honestly surprised by how many cars are in the parking lot every time I drive by.

Love their Stromboli & calzones, and their chicken parmesean.  The restaurant is an old pizza hut & still looks the same as it did back in the '70's, but it has a nice enough atmosphere & is clean.  We have always had friendly wait staff here, and have never been kept waiting.  The only thing that bothered us is that once my husband had to send a soft drink back because it tasted strange (I tried it and agreed); but the Italian chef (owner?  not sure) sent it right back & said there wasn't a problem with it.  lol!  He is lucky we have a sense of humor, or we would really gig them hard for that indiscretion. Let's at least try to pretend that the customer is always right, shall we?

Other than that tiny thing, everyone here has always made our food with any specifications we have asked for, and they have a big variety of tasty dishes on offer that have never disappointed us.  We go back often, and never leave hungry due to their generous serving sizes, which make their prices especially good since you will likely have left-overs for later!

I have made the attempt more than several times with Scottos. It's not so authentic, a lot if it is brought in.The cannoli shells were so hard last night they weren't even edible.The not so plain sauce is pretty plain.Reduce the menu!Pizza's soggy every time. Being Italian & eating here disappoints!
