This is one of the great old bars of southeastern Michigan.  Take one step inside this nearly 100 year old bar and you'll feel like you've been transported to the the UP with it's beautiful cherry wood bar and taxidermy everywhere.  And the prices are so  cheap you'll wonder which decade you just stepped back in time to. Â
Very low key, I've never experienced any outsider hostility. Â The perfect place to grab a quick drink while you're waiting for a table to open up at The Common Grill around the corner.
If you live in the Ann Arbor area you owe it to yourself to visit. Â I would suggest taking Huron River Drive to Dexter-Chelsea road to enhance your "Up North" experience (even though you're driving west).
Well, this was just not really my scene. I showed up there w/o my ID for the "Redneck Yacht Club" or my "Honkytonk VIP card", so the locals obviously thought me an invader. The place overall is cool, especially in the fact that they have a cooler in the bar where you can just grab your own beers. Prices were pretty cheap as well. The only downside is that if you are not a local, you'll get the old evil eye for most of your stay.
