This place is a total Hermann hole-in-the-wall, but the beer is SUPER cheap and the burgers are greasy good diner type burgers. Â If you're an out of towner (like me), the locals will definitely be staring at you and wondering what you're doing at "their" spot. Â The staff is very nice if you feel like striking up a conversation. This is not the Hermann "tourist" bar like the Barrell Bar or Bank Bar. Â
The decor is...interesting. Â The owner has hung numerous old beehives throughout the ceiling and the paint is chipping off pretty much every wall. Â I would also try not to use the bathrooms unless you're desperate. Â They also have Keno and a jukebox.
Basically, don't expect a classy joint if you go...it's not that, and it's not trying to be that. Â It just is what it is. Â Order a burger, enjoy a cold one and understand that you are an outsider in the local watering hole.
