Shrimp Basket

Good food, good service. Crab claws was very good as well as the side orders.

Road trips are always an adventure. Recently while driving through Alabama our car broke down and we had to spend the evening in Evergreen, AL. That's how I was introduced to Shrimp Basket.  They are a regional chain with locations from Mississippi through Alabama and Florida and even up into parts of Georgia. Shrimp Basket does not have a location in Louisiana, which is probably for the best.

Food is typical seafood, mostly friend but also grilled and steamed. Each day has a special. Monday was all you can eat fried fish, either white fish or catfish. I decided to have the catfish basket, which included fried fish, coleslaw, hush puppies, and a side of my choice (I went with fries). The food was decent although the fish was under-seasoned for my New Orleans taste buds.

Good food, good service and a nice place to eat... had a great time
