Silver Spoon Restaurant

mmm the Silver Spoon.  This is a Versailles staple.  They've been hurt by the awful waffle that's moved in down the street, but it's nowhere near the same league as the Silver Spoon.  If you are craving home style cooking, the stuff grandma used to make this is the place to go.  

During the week it's filled with farmers, horsemen, college kids and most of the divorced men from the area.  No one can make biscuits and gravy like they do.  The pancakes...mmm steak and eggs.  

I've got to warn you in advance, there's a haze of smoke in there at all hours (but that's got to be expected under the circumstances, it is Versailles), and it may not be as clean inside as it should be.  It's a family kitchen though, it would lose it's character and charm if they cleaned it up.  It's perfectly safe, but the crowd is coming in from the track / fields, you can't expect it to be spotless.
