  The place has a nice decoration and despite you are in the middle of a mall, for some minutes you can forget this. Wine selection is ok, but their food is a bit overpriced. I had one of their salads and was tasty but the cheese sampler is a bit of a disillusion. After, while getting away from the coast we almost regretted as there are more wineries on the road :S

  It's a tradition.  This was our sixth annual girl's weekend getaway at the coast and we always spend at least one day at the outlet mall shopping.  Last year we started a new tradition.  We started the shopping day at Sip with a glass of wine and a delicious cheese sampler.  Lincoln City doesn't have the best outlet mall I have experienced but after a glass of wine, everything seems a little more attractive.
  
  Sip is also the perfect spot with lots of tables for a group of girlfriends to meet up for that much needed post shopping wine therapy.  Here we can show off our great outlet finds and brag about who scored the best deal.
  
  Meanwhile, I was famished and shared a slice of the vegetarian quiche with my pal.  The portion was huge and much to my surprise and delight, it was terrific.  If wine is not your thing, they offer espresso, tea, Italian soda or the usual bottled and canned beverages as well as an array of sandwiches and desert items.
  
  Sip is an unexpectedly good little retreat from the hustle and bustle of shopping and now it is a part of the annual girl's weekend tradition.

  My husband and I stopped in here for lunch while we were doing some outlet mall shopping. We were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Unfortunately for the coast (and fortunately for Sip), this was one of the better meals we had on the coast!
  
  We had the seven bean soup and split the turkey panini. Half the sandwich was very satisfying for lunch and the flavors were actually pretty incredible. Not your typical deli panini! And as simple as the soup sounds, it was fantastic...you could tell it was homemade.
  
  Top it off with a homemade rice krispie treat and you're in business. Mmmmmm :)

  A classic story arc, adapted for the screen by the Tanger Outlet Center:
  
  1. Stasis: Ah, a weekend at the coast. So nice. We can just relaaaaaaax.
  
  2. The Trigger: [One hour later...] Um... so now what do you want to do?
  
  3. The Quest: Outlet Mall! Outlet! Mall! WOOOOHOO!
  
  4. Surprise: Oh man, this parking lot sucks. Hmm, this stuff isn't even all that cheap, considering. Bleh. Who needs more ill-fitting pants from Old-Namerigapostallister? More crappy kitchen/As-Seen-On-TV gadgets, anyone?  You're right, people really are like sheep. Rude, loud, shovey, covered in wool. I thought this was a relaxing weekend. I do not feel relaxed. I feel grumpy. And cold. And grumpy.
  
  5. Critical Choice: You hungry? I'm hungry. And tired. And grumpy. What do you want to eat? I don't know, what do you want? All this place has is hot dogs and ice cream. Isn't there anything even slightly healthy? I don't really want more fish 'n' chips or clam chowder either...
  
  6. Climax: Let's blow this joint. Get away from these people. Everybody ready? Did I mention I'm grumpy? C'mon! Let's just..... GO!!
  
  7: Reversal: Wait, what's this? "Sip?" It just looks like a wine shop. We don't need wine.  No more shopping. No more stores. Let's GO! But look it says "Bistro." And a menu! Look, a menu in the window!
  
  8. Resolution: Panini? Soup? Salad with nuts & cheese & pears? Are you serious? I can just buy a whole chunk of aged cheddar cheese? And Ikea chande-lighting and normal-people prices? Let's do it.
  
  "Sip" is almost TOO low-key. Its sign and location are subtle and deceptive. In the midst of all this bustle and grumpy circus and hey nonny nonny they call the Outlet Center, they could easily get away with hiring someone to stand outside waving a sign and yelling out "Here's your Oasis!" or "We got your Real Coastal Escape right here!"
  
  Because finally, finally, through the help of their kindness, good environment, and great food, the grumpiness subsides, and finally, finally, thanks to Sip, we find that we can, indeed, relax.
