Siskiyou Brew Pub

Driving up to Crater Lake over Memorial Day weekend and stopped randomly in Ashland for some gas. I got a good vibe from this city which I had never heard of before so decided to stop at the Starbucks and check out BA to see if there were any good beer places in town. I am immediately directed to Siskiyou Pub. First I stop and pick up a six pack of Caldera IPA for later.

So this bar is located under a bridge with appealing landscaping in what I would describe as the 'downtown' of this city. The bar is downstairs with a large screen TV with the NBA Finals playing. The bar itself is rather small, with perhaps 10-12 stools and a few tables. Outdoors they have a multi-level deck with many tables and waitress service. Overall a good feel to the place whose clientele ran the full gamut of good beer drinkers.

They have about 10 taps consisting of a couple of the Calderas, a couple Deschutes, 1-2 Rogues, Lagunitas, PBR and my personal favorite they had - the Ninkasi Total Domination. I had two pints of the Ninkasi when I was there, but since I was driving, I couldn't stay to taste some of the others. I may have missed a couple beers in there, but these are the ones I remembered. One nitro-tap, but this was not going - they said they just ran out of the nitro Obsidian not long ago.

The bartenders were OK, not too helpful or informative, but were pleasant. Prices were fair, I believe $4 per pint.

If you are in Ashland, certainly stop in for a pint while you are there.

Definitely as good as it gets!

I was just here this past weekend with another female DH rider from the bay area. After shredding Mtn. Ashland on our bikes we decided to head over here for a dark frothy beer while we waited for the guys to pick us up.

Definitely had one of those cowboy movie moments....two hot chicks in full body armor walking into the bar with their DH bikes asking for a beer as they pull their full face helmets off....lol!

Friendly staff, great selection of Southern Oregon's best on tap.  Nice mellow environment.  Will definitely come back!
