Tonight Sky was our chosen place for drinks after dinner. You know that feeling when dinner is done but you dont want to go home yet?
We had been once before but it was for my 15 year high school reunion where the crowd was anticipated. The reunion done by Sky was impeccable.
We arrived about 9pm and  it was VERY quiet. Sky is gorgeous but  it would have been uncomfortable being the only people in the place eating dinner. We were going for drinks after having dinner elsewhere.  I think SKY is the perfect place for such a plan. Â
We stayed much later then anticipated; I think the 4 page martini flavor selection had something to do with that.
Around 11:30 the place was packed. Sky transformed into a nightclub atmosphere and it seemed THE PLACE to be.
My husband said the next time we come we will just go later. Honestly, I liked the low key beginning leading up  to the loud fast paced fun.
Pretty good.
Went on a Thursday night, it was VERY quiet, two other tables and us. Â Our waitress Madison was adorable and very attentive thoughout the entire meal.
For Apps we had calamari (too battery, would not order again) and santa fe chicken egg rolls (tasty). Â three of us ordered steak, all of which came cooked the same way, sorta well done; it was dry but actually tasty. Â The mac and cheese was good but the side salads were excellent, very large and fresh. The forth in our party had the chicken breast, and also reported it was tasty but fairly dry.
Dessert was a chocolate cake (kinda standard fare) and a berry lemon cake which was awesome, I would order that again.
The food is basic Sysco stuff; nothing grounbreaking. Â But I was surprised how reasonable the prices were and is worth it for he atmosphere and service.
I hear they have an active nightlife scene and I can see why; its clearly the nicest spot on FR.
I went here with a few of my friends are 8:30 on the weekend. Pretty busy but the waitress was very attentive and fun.
The atmosphere is nice, we were at a corner table near entrance looking out over everyone so it was entertaining to people watch.
As a picky eater and drinker I had no issues finding a martini I'd enjoy. I ordered the Bubble bath one which had champagne and strawberry vodka as well as some juice. Light and bubbly what a delight! So much of a delight that I had to order a second and got my friends to get one too! 3 of my friends ordered the espresso martini which didn't disappoint. I didn't particularly care for one my other friend got Which was chocolate and banana.
Sky Lounge is a new martini bar and restaurant, as well as lounge, in downtown Fall River. Â I came here on Saturday night with a few friends for a birthday celebration. Â We had no problem getting a table at 7:45. Â There are tables near the bar as well as in a back area (where we were seated). Â There are also 2 large semi-circle lounge booths, but from what I hear you can only reserve them if you are going to buy a bottle (of something). Â Sky Lounge has an extensive martini list (over 100!). Â I had the paradise (tropical tasting) and a sugar baby, which while not tasting exactly like the candy had a nice chocolate and caramel thing going on. Â Martinis are $8.50, which is good compared to Boston/Providence pricing, but is higher than New Bedford where they average around $6. Â Food prices are a bit higher than average as well, but reasonable for the nicer atmosphere of the Sky Lounge. Â Several of us got the pizzas, which were about $11 and were large (10" x 10") flatbread style, nice and crispy. Â The one I got had a salad on top, and there was a nice flavor contrast between the creaminess of the cheese on the pizza and the tang of the balsamic viniagrette. Â The pizzas were huge and a good deal. Â Appetizers also tend to be on the large side, so you could just get one of those for a meal (and save your money for the martinis!). Â Our waitress, Kerri-Ann, was pleasant, joked around with us, and helped us to navigate the huge martini list. Â Overall this place seems very classy and is a nice addition to FR -- I'll be back.
