Whoever organizes their Friday nights is a bleeding idiot. My friends and I patronized this establishment last Friday ONLY to support our friend's 70s classic rock cover band.
First no no: They charged us $10.00 to enter the bar. UM! This isn't Hollywood, assholes! And you serve food. And these are cover bands! Get a grip. As a result, the place was empty.
Second no no: I thought the name "Pour House" indicated a selection of beer. I thought wrong. Half of the beer selections were bagged i.e. not available. Seriously?
Third no no: They shut the bar down at 12:30am. We spend another 45 minutes in the parking lot shooting the shit when we COULD have been throwing our money at the bar for drinks.
Based upon this experience alone, I will never return and I suggest you stay away as well.
I really want to like this place, but after tonight charging me and my friends $25 dollars for a pitcher of Longhammer IPA I don't think this is a great place to go. After, a protest at the bar about this expensive pitcher they decided to give us a discount of five dollars a pitcher. This was an ok a price, but definitely would not go again without any discounts.
Review Source:This place doesn't have the best location but the owner Paul has tried hard to make it a place where locals can feel... well, local. Â They promote a good happy hour until 8pm. Â They promote $1 off any beer. Â what they don't tell you is how the price the beers. Â Their pitchers only hold 4 beers, which makes it a medium pitcher. Â Even if each pint was $5, the pitcher would be $20. Â It was $25, and the beer was eh. Â Just okay. Â But seriously, the whole reason for getting a pitcher is because it's a larger quantity and should be discounted. Â And they only offer happy hour discounts on cheap beers, which is great for the average guest who wears leather, has tattoos and facial hair. Â
Now the food we got was good. Â Borderline very good. Â They know how to make a good chicken philly and have good prices for what you get. Â
I'm sticking to Ladyface.
