Slingshots

The only thing that makes Slingshots semi-fun is the friends you are with. Yes, it's trashy and very dirty. People only go there... because its literally the only bar nearby.

I never write bad reviews, but feel more than obligated to write about how horribly rude and unfriendly the 300lb overweight, brunette female bartender was.

My friend said she copped an attitude with her when ordering, and when we sipped on the drink it had literally no alcohol in it. Tasted like straight soda. I went back to the bar and she wouldn't replace it for me. I had to pay for another drink, that again tasted terrible.

This bartender wears clothes two sizes too small, with her tits falling out, and gladly served all of our guy friends decent drinks. We were then sitting outside talking about it, when the bartender comes outside and literally screams at an of-drinking age lady to leave the bar because she only had a passport and not an ID on her. (We heard this conversation from at least 30 ft away)  I've never seen a situation handled so unprofessionally. The bartender then waddled back inside where a bunch of underage boys were shooting pool.

Her attitude alone ruined my night at Slingshots. I regret tipping her and will never return.

This is a great bar and the pizza is delicious.  The staff and bartenders are the best.  The other patrons of the bar are friendly too!    I feel comfortable going in by myself for Happy Hour (10-7 daily) $2 draft beer, and they have all kinds of beer and hard cider on tap, not just the usual ones.  I LOVE THAT!  A MUST STOP IN PLACE, and you will come back.  Fun theme parties and great live bands.  Check them out!

This was my watering hole when I lived here.  It was called something else and they have constantly upgraded the place with better TVs, more floor space for dancing, and more pool tables.  As well as beer pong tournaments, pool tournaments, kareokee from actual good singers, and you can watch a game, plus there is outdoor seating to smoke (if you do....I do not but I dig my friends getting to) and drink at the same time.

The good:

+ Service is always good
+ Prime location for a bar in this neighborhood
+ Extras out the door including free peanuts and free popcorn with a machine and all the fixings to make it
+ Good crowd, good mix of cool people and nice people to look at
+ Plenty of space for whatever you want to do.  Dancin, you got it. Playin pool, check.  Sit outside and debate why you are single and dont talk to a single girl all night, you can do that
+ Standard prices with a good draft selection plus knowledgeable bartenders that keep em coming especially if you tip and always keep an eye when you need another

The bad:

- Too little parking, not for a standard night.  But if you get there late this place is literally too big for all the stalls there.  But if you plan to get hammered dont be a dummy, get a DD or a taxi
- The drafts seem a bit too light for me.  I am by no means a beer expert.  I like the taste but I usually drink whiskey
- The locals can be a bit stand off ish from newcomers.  This is a small town.  But if you are stuck on your way to Tahoe and are waiting for chain restrictions to come off I would travel down here and get a room right across the way.
