Small Town Grill

Found this little place last year.   Enjoyed our breakfast enough that we returned this year for lunch.  The veggie sun burger is hand made and delicious.  The cook is fixing meals and carrying on conversation with customers as he cooks....makes for a fum and easy atmosphere.   A great find and we will stop again.

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch after visiting an antique shop in town.  The inside is knotty pine giving it that up north diner warmth. The owner is very friendly and struck up a conversation with us and others at the diner. The sandwiches we had I would rank in our top 10. The Northern Grinder is my recommendation. The meats we're were top notch deli cuts and plentiful. A great 'small town' place to eat and we'll be headed back there soon.

For a greasy breakfast, this is the spot.  

I had read a Yelp review last year (it's no longer on here) that said this was an artery-clogging place, which of course made it a top choice for my dad.   Last summer, everyone's meal was very good.  I really enjoyed my bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel.  The bagel was made so that the egg and cheese stayed on it, and I think was toasted on the grill rather than in a toaster given the great flavor (i.e. bacon grease haha).  I had it again this summer and it was just as good. My dad had the typical eggs, toast, and bacon last summer and said it was one of the best breakfasts he's ate in a while.  He got it again this year but said it was just decent this time around.  My sister had the BLT last time and said the bacon really made the sandwich.  This time she got an egg breakfast, and said the toast was good but the eggs weren't cooked over hard and the potatoes were sliced too thick to cook right.  My mom enjoyed her corned beef hash both times (made with what seemed like fresh chunks of corned beef rather than the very processed kind of which hash usually consists).

It's a tiny restaurant with picnic tables, but if you want a diner breakfast this isn't a bad place to get it.
