This restaurant is now called The Small Town Grill. This is a 5 star diner if you are looking for fresh food. The veggies in the omelette are fresh and not overlooked. Â The potatoes are fresh, not frozen. If you are on a diet, you may might want to pass on the potatoes as the the portion is large and a bit buttery. Â (Not dripping w/butter, but tasty). Homemade corn beef hash is delicious.
The veggie burger is not from a package. It is made w/veggies and sunflower seeds. If you split an omelette, you will have more than enough. They will also make you a small omelette for two dollars less. Â
Fast and friendly service.
The decor is diner-like. Just ok!
Kitchen is very clean.
A tiny, tiny restaurant in Pellston, MI, where the menu is simple and the food is delicious (and possibly artery-clogging). Â I had steak and eggs, which also came with some toast. Â The steak seasoning was perfect, and it was cooked exactly how I asked for it to be cooked. Â My friend Steph got biscuits and gravy, which she says were delicious - I was too full to try it. Â My boyfriend ended up with the grilled cheese, after debating between that and the BLT. Â It was on Texas Toast, and perfectly browned.
In small towns, you shouldn't expect 5-star restaurants (or 4-star, or whatever - I don't know about fancy things). Â Village Grill is exactly what is expected - small, cheap, and fantastic.
