Smokin' Moe's Ribhouse & Saloon

I have to give props to the service for being very nice although unexplainably prolonged on our order.  Another couple walked in and ordered 15 minutes after us and got theirs just before our food came out.

The wait was pretty long on the order to get completed, was it because of what we ordered?  Kids Cheeseburger, Catfish with Mashed Potatoes, and an Elk Burger for me...When it finally arrived the only things that were pretty good was the cheeseburger and catfish, in fact the catfish was great, the only thing great.  The fries were blah, as if they were perhaps done 20 minutes ago and just now got out with the rest of the food.  The Elk burger was not so good, maybe I need to look into it, maybe ground Elk meat does not come out good at medium-well, but I would have rather gotten something else.  My daughter did not like her mashed potatoes, but they were good home-cooked style, and I think she's just too used to stuff out of a box.  Also, the collared greens were really good, but the serving was small compared to other sides.  

When a tab like that, with root beer float and one draft beer, comes to $50-60, and 70% of the meal was not very good, and took forever to get to you...you kind of wish you took the kids to the fast food joint...

Hit this place on a recent trip to Winter Park, and the food was excellent. Fantastic BBQ sauce, fried okra appetizer, lots of beer choices. Service was fine, nothing special, but not bad either. She did bring us a pitcher of water and cups, even though we ordered other drinks, which I loved. The only thing that made it unpleasant was just the sheer number of people crammed in and the loud noise. It was manageable, but there are plenty of times I'm just not in the mood for that much noise and crowd.

BBQ sauce is great,  onion rings are great,  hamburgers and BBQ sandwiches good.

Service is slightly lackadaisical

Another gripe,  was there were only two parties in the whole place and they tried to scrunch us together in back to back tables.  The other party asked to move 1 down,  problem solved.

Price is reasonable considering it is a ski resort town.
