They were short-handed when I took my wife there, but we still received good service.  The food was excellent - I had the porterhouse steak, she had a club wrap, and both were just fantastic!   For my drink, I decided to try a "dark & stormy" which is a mix of black rum, ginger beer, and lime juice... and while it's on the pricey side, I would highly recommend it!  Two thumbs up here!

I really liked this place!  I had the blackened snapper wrap which was great, definitely spicy, and the fries were tits!  But I should warn you, they were salty for me, and since my favorite food is salt, that's telling you a lot.
JR C. really loved the over the top bloody mary but I have to say, the house was AWESOME!  Good prices, friendly service, bathrooms are gnarly.  Actually the whole place could use a bucket of Pine Sol but I really don't think they are catering to the Mr. Clean crowd.

I stopped here while checking out Folly Beach during Hurricane Sandy, and although I didn't stick around for a long time, I liked this place.  I ordered a couple beers, and the bartender was quite attentive.  I really wish I'd have seen him make his bloody mary before I ordered, though.  He uses some bottled mix, plus a bit of stout beer, then garnishes with a banana pepper, olive, shrimp, and a big piece of celery, then puts Old Bay seasoning around the rim.  Just my style.  He poured a bit from a shaker for me, and it was delicious!

They offer both quesodillas and nachos in 'preconfigured' fashion or 'build-your-own' stylee.  I went with the former, which starts as a $6 cheese quesodilla, to which you add items, a la carte.  I ordered blackened shrimp, grilled onions, cilantro, and jalapeno peppers.  The shrimp was delicious and cooked just right, and there was a perfect amount of peppers.

Even though we're in Mount Pleasant, I'll be coming here for football games and bloodies!

Another rooftop that just didn't live up to the hype.

I don't know if it's because the focus is toward just throwing back beers and enjoying the breeze, but I went with hopes of good food too.  It's Folly Beach so I can drink a cold beer and enjoy the beach anywhere, but good food in that environment should be key.

The location is fantastic and if you just want basic food fare and beers, it'lll do the trick.  Just don't go with high hopes.  The staff is moderately organized and friendly and the beer is cold.  So that much was good.

I had a really good time here. My husband did some research online to figure out where he'd take me out on our first child-free outing.  So he found this bar which has a rooftop area... which was an awesome idea! (Great idea hun!) It provided partial views of the beach and a nice dose of wind to keep cool with.

The bartender was great. He was very friendly and quick. The margaritas were delicious! Although the cup was small, the drink was very tasty and strong (but didn't taste strong... I just knew it afterwards).

As for the food, it was delicious. I asked for coleslaw on the side, instead of inside the fish taco... but I think the bartender forgot to put that special request in. Otherwise, the scallops, shrimp and fish were cooked perfectly and had really good flavors!

The food was ok. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't knock your socks off good either. My husband and I got crab legs. My parents had fish and my aunt had chicken. The service was eh.  The waitress only became very attentive when she dropped the check. Then she hovered while everyone was collecting money. Who does that?

The view upstairs is beautiful- there's 4-5 tables that look out over the ocean.  We got to pick our own seats (it was around 8 on a Tues.)  We got the crab dip to start.  It had a lot of mayo and shredded cheese on top.  The sandwiches were fine, just totally generic bar food, nothing special.   It seemed really pricey for the quality of food we got.  We couldn't order water on the rooftop bar (?), just fountain drinks or alcohol.  Pretty limited beer selection.

I wanted to come here for lunch based on the reviews that said it had an awesome beach view.  Where we were seated there was definitely NO beach view.  It was my understanding that they did not seat people on the upper deck (where there is a minimal beach view with some obstructions) until later in the afternoon or evening (on Sunday) so if this is what you are looking for I would just ask prior to being seated.

As for the food it was pretty good.  I had two bloody mary's which were really good (obviously since I ordered a second)!  For lunch I had the wedge salad and the crab soup which was a perfect portion size for lunch.  My boyfriend had the southwest salad which he also enjoyed.  The service was pretty good but they weren't very busy when I was there.

I would recommend Snapper Jack's for a casual beachy bar restaurant.  Be sure to check out the view from the upper deck and maybe stay for a drink up there!

We went early in the evening mid-week, were seated promptly and had excellent, attentive service. The crab legs scored high marks in our group.

I will qualify this by saying we didn't go at a peak time and the results could easily be very different otherwise. For us, though, it was a very nice experience.

Chilled out spot to grab a bit or a beverage close to the beach. Couple patios on the roof make for a nice view. Been here a few times. Can't say I've been blown away but I keep coming back. So that has to say something about it. Def check it out if you need a place to get out of the sun for a bit and relax.

The ONLY open-air rooftop bar that you can see the ocean from in Folly Beach.  Friendly staff, friendly people, great drink specials, good variety of bar-food.  Big fan of this place and next time I'm in Folly Beach, I'm heading here again.

This is NOT where you want to go for lunch. A better bar than local lunch spot.

While staying in gorgeous Folly Beach for Thanksgiving, my hubby and I decided to steal away from the family and eat lunch for two at Snapper Jack's. It was good! Think of a bar atmosphere and bar food. We had loaded nachos for our appetizer and burgers w/ fries for lunch. It hit the spot.

What I didn't like was the smoking...why can't the whole United States have smoke-free restaurants and bars? Other than that, 4 stars.

Good if you are drunk cause food has little taste ;)

Went here cause it was busy and got good reviews. Food was bland - no seasoning! Crab bisque was filled with shells! Good place to watch a game not to eat.

ALSO...sushi by Lisa on second floor only is just strange (and I'm totally unsure if its legal) I wanted sushi but I'd have to order and pay for it on the second floor even though my party was on the first floor. Just unexpected. Not going back unless there is a Steelers game on.

Plenty of people recommended Snapper Jack's as a place for live entertainment on the weekends. The crowd was fun but a little pushy, the music wasn't crazy loud, and the decor didn't really stand out. There is a rooftop bar which is appealing to a lot of people at the beach, but overall I wouldn't say you must spend an entire night here. A gf of mine fell at one point because there was a spill left uncleaned and the floors were struggling. Another friend lost her ID and they had it waiting for her there the next morning so that was a big relief!

What an absolutely perfect atmosphere for a Friday night on the beach! I walked into a bar full of smiling people, and a great live band. As far as nightlife goes, I couldn't ask for more!

It was loud, and alive, so if you are looking for a quiet late night spot, this is not the place for you. But if you're in the mood to enjoy some delicious drinks, great friends, and awesome music, you will be very happy!

The first time I had Sweet Tea Vodka was in this wonderful establishment, on their rooftop, and after about three I pretty much decided that I was going to put up a tent next to the picnic tables and call it my new home. The Sweet Tea Vodka was a nice touch, but even better touch was the crowd - super laid back and beachy bums, sipping their beers in the warm night air. Definitely recommend it as an after beach happy hour spot!

The price was great for the food. Great atmosphere, and the service was prompt and so friendly. Our new favorite beach resturant. :) not to mention, perfect for strolling the pier after dinner. Parking was a little bit of an issue though.

Nothing but good things to say about this place!  We stopped in for happy hour, which they cleverly call "Snappy Hour".  Super cheap drinks ($2 beers and rails) and a great snack/appetizer type menu on the rooftop.  The rooftop cook was awesome.  He was courteous enough to come over to our table and explain their small, but delicious, menu to us and explain his goals - decent size portion to fill you, but not big entree size as he wants you to stay and enjoy some drinks after eating rather than being too full and wanting to go home to bed immediately.    The rooftop view is also amazing and a great place to ocean and/or people watch.  I'll be stopping here again on my next trip to Folly Beach.

Snapper Jack's is everything you can want in a bar when going to the beach! (the food is decent too)  With three levels holding four different bar's with four different themes and a great bar staff, you'll never have to wait very long for a drink!
The First floor has the "Big Bar" (the largest bar in the building), with Mike and Tommy working behind it.  The Chill-N-Grill bar is also located on the First floor, and is 21 and over only!  Judd and Meghan keep the party going here.  It's also where the bands set up, (though you can see and hear the band from the "Big Bar" as well).
The Second floor bar is the "Sushi Bar" where you can watch Lisa of Sushi by Lisa roll your dinner, and get a cocktail and a conversation with David and Jenna.  This Floor also has an outside deck for dining in the open air.
Then you have the Third floor bar, the "Roof Top Bar".  It is an open air bar with Cole and Pam working it, and it also has it's own menu, and usually someone playing an acustic set.
This place is the best bar on Folly Beach!

Snapper Jack's is that casual neighborhood diner and bar with something to please everyone.  Their is a wide selection of sandwiches, starters, salads, burgers, and seafood seafood.  The craw fish tale poboy (fried craw fish tales with lettuce, tomato's, onions, and tarter sauce) on a hog's roll is out of this world; everything fresh and greasless,; the same goes for the fries that crisp.  The service is very friendly with that southern hospitality as at all of the restaurants in the area.  So, for excellent food and drinks at reasonable prices in a clean atmosphere, Snapper Jack's cannot be beat.  They also have a television or two going so you do not miss any games.  Keep up the good work guys.!
