Snappers

I came to Key Largo for the day to relax and chose Snapper's as a place to eat/drink for a few hours.

The deck seating and atmosphere is great! There is plenty of seating with a view of the dock and out into the ocean. Even though it was hot, there was plenty of shade and a nice breeze.

The server was polite, friendly, and fast.

The drinks...amazing! Great selection of coffee liqueurs, mixed drinks, and beer. Personally, I think enjoying a drink alongside the water makes the drink taste 10x better!

The food...I wish I could say more about the food. I ordered a salad and not saying the salad was bad -- it was underwhelming. I was also turned off when the huge wedge of salad arrived at my table uncut. There were also nearly whole tomatoes surrounding the wedge of doom. Why am I paying 10 dollars for a salad that I have to chop up myself? It did not say on the menu that the salad was being served this way. Normally I don't mind chopping my own salad at home or at a cheap restaurant, but for the price I expected it to come out pre-cut. I also expected something pretty flavorful for 10 dollars and it fell a little short.

However, I saved the food part for last because there are plenty of other things on the menu and the rest of the experience made up for the meal.

Fun spot! The turtle bar outside on the water is a great little area to hang out. The grouper fingers are amazing! Kurt makes a great margarita :)

Went around 2 and there was hardly anyone there. We got a nice table on the doc and had a quiet lunch it was absolutely great! I'll be sure to go back as soon as possible! The service was great and the view was perfect! The fish and chips defiantly hit the spot and were some of the best I've had in a while!
