Such a great festival! This was my second year going and I'm so glad that I did! Chromeo was amazing on New Years Eve, along with Zion I and Laidback Luke. Overall I am really glad I went and would be down to go again, of course depending on the artists playing!
This festival is soo cool! Much different then any rave or music festival I have been around before. Has a hippie side too it! The shuttles were not bad! We parked at the Montebleu and shuttled over and back, pretty painless besides the lines.
Much better this year with snow then last year when there was none.
    XOXO

This festival was VERY badly organized. To get to and from the festival they force you to take their shuttles, which they charge you $35 for. On the first night we attempted to get the shuttle from the Pioneer Trail shuttle stop. We waited for 30 mins but no shuffle stopped to take us to the festival. Eventually we got cold and decided to go home.

On the second night we went to the casino to get the shuffle. This time we managed to easily find where the shuttles were setting off from. On our return journey we had our driver drop us off at the Pioneer Trail shuttle stop. The stop was ~1 mile from where their map had indicated it would be!!!! No wonder we couldn't get a shuttle on the first night.

On their Facebook page many people complained that they had similar issues with the Pioneer Trail shuttle stop but Snow Globe never responded to these issues.

In addition to being annoying this incompetence is out right dangerous. It left many people needlessly wondering the icy street of Tahoe in the dark.

If Snow Globe was ran by decent people they'd issue a full refund for the cost of the shuttle passes and the first night of the festival. This hasn't happened.

The actual event was cool, but information and event details were severely lacking. They decided to just make the website look cool with cool graphics without actually imparting ANY information. For instance, the shuttles!!

The shuttle maps were completely vague. I mean, where the hell is the Pioneer Trail stop? Is there parking at each shuttle stop? We had to stop at the Mont Bleu ticket office to ask, but they didn't even know. Told us to call the hotline. Um, there IS no hotline. In the end, we just drove to Mont Bleu casino and parked there even though there were supposed to be 3 shuttle lines. Oh and one of the lines was cancelled on Facebook. So if you weren't on Facebook that morning you were screwed. Thanks bro.

On day one, the shuttles were completely ridiculous. So much so that I walked to and from on day 2 even though the event organizers discourage it. And our condo rental was 2 miles away; couldn't hear the music until we were a half mile away. Based on my own experience, the noise complaints are suspect and the music shut down promptly at 10pm on the first two nights. In fact, Whiz Khalifa killed his set at 9:45pm on the first night.

Anyways, the shuttle service did get better on day 2 and 3, but then the line to get in was ridiculous on day 2. It didn't help that people had their wristbands buried under mountains of clothing and didn't think to dig them out until once they got in front even though they've been standing in line for an hour.

Event organizers also directed people looking for taxis to Al Tahoe Blvd. So, to the street. Where there were no taxis. No taxi waiting area. Just a street with shuttle busses trying to get back in and private cars picking up their peeps or offering to shuttle people for $50.

Favorites were Beats Antique (I already liked their stuff so they lived up to their recorded awesomeness in getting the party going) and Laidback Luke. Also enjoyed Whiz Khalifa on the first night. Surprisingly disappointed with DeadMau5 and Chromeo. Day 1 was magical, what with the gently falling insulating snow. Day 2 and 3 were clear, cold nights that made it a bit hard to keep warm.

For the price its a hit or miss experience.  Too many environmental opportunities for experience to derail.    Group transportation was effective overall, but shuttle just stopped running without notice on New Years eve and many missed the headline show who didn't want to brave the meager opening acts in three degree weather.   Security was good.

What an amazing experience, listening to music in one of the most beautiful places on earth.  The staff was very cool and the bus drivers provided our group of 12 with safe passage home.  There were some great artists on the lineup.  My favorite was hands down Deadmau5 followed by Laidback Luke and Chromeo.

It was cold, but by the last day we knew to layer up.  And once we started dancing, we warmed up immediately.

The teepees in the silent disco were a nice place to rest.  There was beer, water, and a bunch of other food available for sale too.

I look forward to next year.

Still good, and they were much improved in the sound carrying into the neighborhoods this year.

Shuttle issues the first day; which they addressed, and was corrected.

Bathroom lights not on first night, but fixed by second.

Day 2 the line at least around 6-7pm or so, took 30+ minutes to get through :(

Love the art scattered about, "LOVE" sign, graffiti artist, lighting in trees.

Bar lines were much shorter this year, I believe due to 3 locations.

More food choices this year, but still didn't see any local ones, except for Himmel Haus, maybe others didn't have their names on the booths?

Signage into the festival on the snowtrails would have been helpful.

Worst-run music event ever. Simply horrible. It's like small children were in charge--except that would be an insult to small children.

And the bands were terrible!  Not to mention the profound disrespect to and disregard for surrounding residential communities.  Really?  This trash is what South Tahoe is about?  The event almost matched the stunning-junky look of the appalling signs lining a drive down Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

If by some weird twist they do it again, just say NO!  Don't go.

(Plus all their disgusting, junky, horribly-made parking and direction signs were left taped to street signs and sticks-in-the-ground all over the city.  What an eyesore and embarrassment to the community!)

It was a blast!!! Thought the location was great, shuttles worked out well... Other then not being able to get a taxi, for obvious reasons it seemed to run smoothly for being its first. My favorites were Dilated Peoples & Bassnectar! Will go again next year for sure!

We live about two miles from the college and still had to listen to Snow Globe.

FAIL on moving this from Horizon to the college - a venue not at all suited to a music festival (based alone on the fact the neighbors had no choice but the listen until at least 10 each night... even the toddler size neighbors). If they decide to do Snow Globe again, I hope they choose a more appropriate venue - and stick with it.
