Great little place on the water.
Atmosphere and service were top notch, but the food was just average.

Good food, good atmosphere, and good service. The half and half red conch, white clam chowder is awesome. Happy hour 25 cent wings and shrimp also very good. I've been there three times and haven't been disappointed once.

Visiting Marathon for a week with my Mom. We found this place on Yelp and liked the other reviews. Upon arriving we were given the choice to sit inside or outside, we sat outside to enjoy the view of the marina. Ordered the fish tacos and a pound of the  peel and eat shrimp. Our server April was super super friendly, and even went and found us some brochures about things to do locally. She mentioned that she was noted in a review on tripadvisor, when I mentioned that I found this place on Yelp. I told her she would definitely be in our review too. :-) The food came in a short time, and was super yummy. the fish tacos were outstanding, with great guac and pickled red onions. The cocktail sauce that came with the shrimp was clearly made on site, because it was SO horseradish-y. We loved it. Shrimp also came with drawn butter and a little side of old bay seasoning. Nice details. We were stuffed, but saw how great the key lime pie looked being brought to another table. We ordered a piece to go and April made it extra fancy in the box with swirls of whipped cream. Check came to less than $50 including tip (a good one at that). May be back here later in the week when my hubby gets to town. Their drink menu looked awesome too, but my Mom doesn't drink and I don't like to drink alone.

Very nice view. Great food. They need to reprint clean menus - the ones they gave us were mildewy. $64 for 5 people. They don't take American Express. Good service.

I went here twice in one weekend.  The first stop here the service, food, and setting were wonderful! The second time, the service was awful.  Our waiter was nasty, arrogant, and not accommodating . I left the review at 4 stars because the food was consistently good on both visits.  I hope the managerial staff reconsiders some of their servers.

One of my favorite places to eat in the Keys! We had the seared ahi appetizer, the grilled fish tacos, and seriously some of the best key lime pie ever! Great service, fun atmosphere. It's a great meal every time!

This is an AWESOME SPOT to stop at on your way down to Key West!  From Miami - it's just past half way to Key West.

We stopped here for lunch and drinks....OH MY.   From the front - you may be a little skeptical about the quality of the food.  Don't be!  We had a wonderful lunch!  Peel & Eat Shrimp, Conch Chowder....and....THE BEST FISH TACOS EVER (no really, ever).

It was CINCO DE MAYO - so we had a Raspberry Margarita - oh yeah, that was awesome too.

    Service was wonderful....

We ate, drank, laughed, enjoyed the view, grabbed a few souvenir T-shirts and continued on to Key West!

We popped in to fuel up before driving through the torrents of rain last week on our way to Key West.  Fast, friendly service.  Drinks were GOOD, fish tacos were AWESOME!  It was a late lunch with about 6 tables and some bar folk.  We enjoyed the local flair and the wildlife (manatees, pelicans etc)...I bet its a colorful place in the evening!

Ambiance and service get 4 stars, food gets 3.

We stopped off here on our drive from Miami to Key West for a late lunch. This place has a definite Keys vibe to it and I was immediately enamored. Very casual place...bar in the middle with pirate/fishing décor and a big wrap-around patio overlooking the water and fishing boats. Tons of big pelicans and osprey hanging around and we even saw a couple of manatees in the water right below us!

We got there around 1:30 and there were a couple people at the bar and then just a table of drunk local fishermen enjoying themselves at the table behind us.

I ordered the Red Conch Chowder and Clam Chowder served side by side and the sweet potato fries and my sister ordered the Sparky's Fish tacos. I loved the chowders and wished I would have gotten the bowl instead of the cup, the sweet potato fries were mediocre and overpriced. My sisters fish tacos were delicious and probably a little on the expensive side ($11.99) but the portion was generous.

I can't say I'd go out of my way to come back here next time I do the Miami to Key West drive, but if you are wanting a quick meal with friendly service, pretty good food and a wonderful vibe, I would recommend this place.

You're on the Keys.  Hungry?  Thirsty?  Need little shade and a place to relax?  Here you are!  Cold Beer.  Shrimp.  Gumbo.  Wings. And don't leave without trying the Fish Tacos.

Word to the Wise....speed limit on The Sadowski Causeway is 25 MPH.  They really mean it.

Disappointed they did not have Key West Ale at 5:30pm on a Thursday.  They sat us outside in the thunderstorm so half our table was wet but we made the most of it.  Blackened Caesar Sandwich turned out to be breaded chicken.  Black beans and rice was wet beans and hard rice with no taste. Got the Bill and had my Ale on it, even though I never got it.

First off, the food was good. We ordered ceviche and conch chowder for apoetizers. Both were very good. Chowder was spicy with big chunks of potatoes and carrots. It was served relatively quickly, which was nice. It was Friday night and they were busy.

After that, service disappeared. Everyone adjacent to us sat down after we received our apps. They were all served apps and dinner way before us. Tried to let our waiter know. He was MIA. Never came back in our room. Finally does after we've been seated for 45 mins. Mumbles something about our food. 15 mins later...FOOD. For three. We are four.  Brought by random table runner. Wait. Wait. Grab table runner. Ummmmmm. Missing an entree??? We reiterate the order. Ten minutes later. Nothing. THE ENTREE WAS A BIG HOUSE SALAD!! NOT EVEN PROTEIN ON IT!!  Get up. Search restaurant for original waiter. Find him standing around. Hello!!?!?  Salad?!?  It is brought five minutes later. Wrong. No, don't take it back!!! I'm STARVING!! You will screw it up!!

    Waiter disappears again.

    Finish dinner.

Shrimp and bacon pizza was delicious. Good smoky bacon that paired well with the shrimp. Fish tacos. HUGE. Also well received.  Kiddo ordered chicken finger basket. He ate ever morsel ;) I didn't need a taste to tell it was a thumbs up.

Sit with empty plates for 15 minutes.

Ummm...ticket?? Yep, he's just hanging out. Talking it up with the waitresses.

Still charged me for the wrong item 0_0

    That was his tip.

Blech. Never again.  Food was good. I'm still hungry though. Never got what I ordered and all. Waiter didn't seem to care. Hit or a miss it seems. Was a miss with us. First bad experience in the Keys.

The food is wonderful and so is the ambiance. Great place to dine, especially if you like chowder based soups and seafood favorites! The hot wings are great too! They also have top notch service! A+++ highly recommended!

The fish tacos were fantastic.  Some of the best that I've had.

Our waiter initially mixed up my meal (he gave me the fried instead of blackened fish), but quickly brought me the proper food.

I had the "blacked" fish - very flavorful, but not too spicy.  And, the lime cream sour and phenomenal.

I would definitely stop here again when driving through the Keys.

When driving from Miami to Key West we decided to stop here for lunch. It was really nice being on the water but the food was absolutely nothing special. It's basically very heavy bar food. I split the fish tacos  and shrimp ceviche with my boyfriend. The tacos were tasty but the ceviche was a let down. If you want a beer or fries, this works but don't expect much more than that.

Fun bar/casual open-air restaurant with outdoor seating on the water. $0.25 wings and shrimp at happy hour, cold beer, good pizza, and the best key lime pie we've had made for a great experience. Plenty of locals so it didn't feel like the tour bus of sunburned tourists were the only patrons.

Stopped in here while vacation in Florida.  This place is definitely a local hang out.  There was a lot of Sunday NFL action going on and the place was lively.  I got a fish sandwich, blackened which was good and they were having some drink specials along with a special on wings and shrimp.  The food was pretty good and the service was friendly.  It ended up being a nice little lunch spot.

No excuse for such poor service on a night when there was no waiting list. Our waiter seemed behind the 8 ball from the start but we noticed other tables with different wait-staff also got poor service so I'll split the difference in blame between him and the kitchen, however there is no excuse for not getting our salad or so much as a cracker for 25 minutes other than bad service.

When we finally got our dinner (delivered by either the owner or hostess not our waiter) my shrimp dinner was cool and my husbands fish was hot. No rolls are served with dinner (I asked while waiting and hungry).

I pity anyone wanting dinner during a busier time (high season is just around the corner) but if you are looking for a bar and don't care when your dinner arrives you'll do fine. We arrived at 6pm and left at 8pm. No one was waiting for a table at any time we were there. Hmmm, now that I think about that I should have gotten a clue.

I'm on vacation. This means I'm feeling happy and generous, and I'll also be brief.

Typical bar on the water in the keys, but it doesn't feel fake or touristy. There's  a great live band and people are dancing in the little spaces between the bar, tables, walls and columns filled with dollar bills signed by passerbys and locals alike.

Tried the fish tacos and shrimp bacon pizza. Nice!

Great place for dinner in Marathon. We ate outside on the patio and it was nice that they had some heaters going as it must have been in the 60's, brrrrr (ha ha that's cold for Floridians). I had the conch chowder and the fish tacos, both of which were awesome. I almost didn't get the fish tacos due to some of the reviews on here, but I'm glad I did. Their key lime pie is a little denser than others I've had, but it was still a nice way to end the meal. They also had a singer the night we went so it added to the fun atmosphere.

OK, so a funny story. Our waitress seemed a little surly at first and when my wife ordered the sangria and upon tasting it realized it was either (a) pure gasoline, or (b) pure death, I decided to ask the waitress for a re-do. She gave us a "look" and said she would get us a new one, and when she returned she was all smiles and very chatty for the rest of the meal. It turns out the bartender from the night before broke a bottle of tequila and in his infinite wisdom decided to pour the remaining tequila into the white wine bottle. So what my wife was drinking was not sangria but close to 100% pure tequila. And how did our waitress verify? She said "I tried the drink and also had the bartender try it." Ha! They both drank out of the glass my wife drank out of? I was going to ask if she served us the newer glass of sangria in the same glass they drank out of, but we decided it was better to just not ask. Only in Florida my friends, only in Florida.

Gratinee is awesome. Surprisingly large portion for an appetizer. Conch chowder was a disappointment. Pot stickers were just OK. The fish tacos are worth the trip alone.

    FISH TACOS! Nuff Said.

This place is amazing for multiple reasons:

    1. Fish Tacos - just needed to repeat it for emphasis. Best Fish Tacos ever!
    2. Dining by the water!
    3. Great Service - my third visit here, I went with about 14 people - and the server handled the table like a champ. We all got our food simultaneously, correctly, and it was all fantastic (granted, there were about 10 Fish taco orders).
    4. Full Bar

Can't wait to visit it again!

Went here for the fish tacos because so many say they're good, but they weren't what I expect from a fish taco.  It was a store bought tortilla with some tasty fish and messy contents that were thrown together.

Living in Houston, I'm used to fresh tortillas and more of a Baja style taco.  I would add that their Key Lime pie leaves something to be desired.  It's more of a cheesecake (not the real deal).

I will say the atmosphere is laid back and enjoyable and being right on the water helps.  The bar seems very active around happy hour and the staff was pretty helpful.

I'd recommend it for a visit if you're in the area.  Its a good come as you are eatery with cold beer and good food.

This was one of the best seafood places I have ever been too.  The service was nice and speedy.  Our waiter was very quick with everything and he was also the bartender.  One of the appetizers we got was calamari and it was some of the best I have ever had.  The shrimp was great, I had the scallops wrapped in bacon it was really good they just put a bit to much BBQ sauce on it.  I definitely loved it here and If I was going to be down here longer I would go back again.

Found this on yelp on our way to key west on Monday. Amazing happy hour to go along with a great view on the water! Our bartender, MJ, was friendlier than anyone we met on our entire trip to south Florida. After serving us great meals, he engaged in conversation with us. When we explained where we were heading, he gave helpful tips and pointers about obeying the speed limit to avoid "tourist traps" setup by police, and he suggested some things to do and places to go once we got there. Although he knew that he would probably never see us again, he still took the time to make us feel welcome. Combine this with the amazing view, great wings, great "the sandwich" meal, etc and this makes for an EASY memorable experience.

This place is a pretty amazing find if you're staying nearby. We rented a house on Key Colony Beach and hit Sparky's nearly every day for their happy hour. It was affordable and quite delicious. Drinks were cheap and shrimp or wings were just 25 cents each. It definitely helped out our vacation budget!

I recently returned for lunch and had buffalo shrimp. I was impressed -- they were large and tasty.

The view is nice if you sit out on the deck on the water. You can see the boats come and go.

For the win! Loved this place had a fresh snapper sandwich (literally right
Off the boat), yummy pineapple margarita and  we got to dock the boat right at the bar. The view is irreplaceable and the service is local and fast. Great place to grab a bite before going out on the water.

    Sparky's Landing is a gem.

While on Duck Key, we were sooooo tired of the ho-hum food on our resort. We looked around on Yelp and came across Sparky's. They had a great looking to-go menu, so we gave it a shot.

We are so glad we tried Sparky's!  We enjoyed their shrimp bacon pizza, bleu oysters, fresh fish fingers & fries, and more. They even made special plain pasta for our daughter who is very picky. The food was ordered, 10 minutes later I picked it up, and the price was extra reasonable. The atmosphere was exuberant!

Trust me - next year we will be stopping in to enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food.

We ate there two nights in a row and the first night (friday) we had the fish tacos, which are delicious!!  Good mojitos and live music. Great laid back fun atmosphere, open air on the water.

On the second night, we went for happy hour (3-6 pm) $3.00 well drinks (had rum and coke) and 25 cent large peel and eat shrimp and wings!  We were full!!  We stayed cause they again had live music. A great reggae band!  We had fun drinking and listening to music on a wonderful warm Saturday January night! This is a great place to sit back and relax in the Keys!

I wanted to love it because it was highly rated and there really aren't many choices near Summerland Key.  I really liked the vibe and the open air design.  It's probably one of the nicest restaurants I've been to around that area.

The service?  Eh...we had to ask our waitress to refill our water multiple times and she didn't take our plates until after we paid.

The food was just decent.  The waitress recommended their fish tacos, so I decided to go with that.  It was bland and boring.  There was no love or creativity in their dishes.  It was pretty disappointing because it didn't live up to the hype or the ambience.

I would really give them 2.5 to 3 stars though just for the vibe and location.  Those two reasons alone make it extremely inviting and makes me want to return to give it another chance or even go just to get drinks.  Just don't go hungry and be prepared for bad service and mediocre food.

Really fun open air restaurant located on the docks so you can watch the boats go by and the fishing charters come in and show off their catches.  You can eat 'inside' or out on the deck or along the bar right on the water.  Very casual, friendly and fish/water oriented - just what it should be in the Keys!

I had the fish tacos (recommended by the waiter) and they were delicious!!  There was not a complaint to be had about the food so that's a good sign!  :-)

Friends and I were staying over at Hawk's Cay for the weekend... some were interested in going out at night for some dinner instead of staying in. So, we started our search for a place that was good, closeby,  AND open past 9pm. Thta's when we found Sparky's Landing about 6 miles away.

We arrived late, but the wait staff was very friendly and allowed us to stay without pressure even after they closed. I ordered the fried shrimp and oysters which were both great... some friends had some pasta dishes that looked and tasted amazing!

Definitely a great place to know when heading down to the Keys... may stop by again on future vacations.

While driving around checking out local water-front restaurants we happened to pass Sparky's and thought we would give them a try. It was late, but they were super-friendly and the waiter was attentive, even at the late hour (for the Keys at least since in the Marathon area everything's pretty closed up by 10).

The prices were great and the food decent, will likely give them another shot on the next trip. Had the conch fritters, which I tend to have everywhere and we each got a pizza, which made for a tasty pre-dive brunch the next day. The Shrimp and Bacon Pizza was great, but my husband thought the Tomato Feta Pizza was better. They did say the fish tacos were awesome as noted in other reviews, may have to try those next time!
