What a find! Definitely worth the deviation if driving down 95 if not a special trip (in my case) straight from the airport. This really feels like low-country dining. The kitchen is in a separate trailer (double-wides that are adjoined)-- got there at 4:45 and just took a seat... servers won't come by to serve anything til' 5. Started off with a delicious crab soup (think New England style clam chowder with crab instead of clams, and no potato) the velouté was luxuriously smooth and velvety-- what a treat! The crab casserole is a great excuse to eat an entire dish of crab dip essentially and not feel (too) bad about it... My top recommendation is the flounder stuffed with deviled crab which was perfectly cooked (broiled) tender and delicate.
Don't get lost! Cash only.
Have gone here for more than 30 years. Reliably consistently good. Â The only place I like fried seafood. Â Even the simple decor hasn't changed in 30 years. Â But understand meals are cooked to order so the more people in the restaurant the longer the wait. Â Some can't cope with this concept so go with this understanding. Â They have the best crab stew compared to anywhere; I always get a container of it to go.
Review Source:The best restaurant comprised of multiple double-wide mobile homes I have ever eaten at! Â Excellent fried seafood with very good cole slaw and hush puppies. Â Reasonable prices except for the seafood platter. Â Very good service with a smile. Â Only problem is it is on the other side of nowhere.
