The Sports Page

Poor service! I sat at the bar to get decent service, and even though there were 4 people standing behind the bar, I ended up sitting there for a few minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Some guy, smoking and serving, finally got me a 16oz. DosX w/ a lime. It was pretty good and after a while I decided to get another. So I wait... and wait... my glass is empty... waiting... I push it forward towards the edge... Oh, wait! Some guy behind the bar makes eye contact with me, so I raise my hand a bit to indicate that I need him. You know what he does? He waves at me, as if to say "Hello friend." My slightly raised hand immediately does a nosedive to point at my empty glass. A lightbulb goes off for him and he comes over. FINALLY! I drank that 2nd one and then left. I don't think I'll bother to return.

Great neighborhood bar! Excellent place to watch the game or hang out with friends. Gives away free pizza with every drink, and decent pizza at that!

I believe this place changed to a pizza chain after some accidents? It's a great location, given that it's right on the loop and not even a half mile from my house, but I haven't been to the "new" Sports Page. Used to be a traditional dive bar with super cheap drinks.
