Sportsman's Alamo Cantina

Surprisingly delicious! We all shared the Nachos Grande which was decent (I really enjoyed the pulled chicken on top). I ordered the fish tacos and LOVED it. They served me three large tacos with a side of beans and perfectly cooked rice. Great portion for the price ($12). Two of my friends ordered the burger and really liked it. My one friend is kind of a Mojito connoisseur and she gave her drink a high praise. i would love to come back here if ever in the area.

I'm not sure what everyone is raving about. Frankly, this place is wildly overpriced and the food is not that great.

The guacamole is super expensive to begin with, and feels like even more of a rip off when you receive a tiny cup full of mediocre guacamole that is filled with tons of lettuce to make it seem like a bigger portion. Basically half the cup is lettuce shavings. The chips that are served with the guacamole are house made and pretty good, but they're one of the only truly good things this place has to offer.

Most of the meals are inconsistent and have way too much salt, and ordering the same thing even days apart yields extremely varied results. This is not even close to being good mexican food, and I feel that the taste is FAR from authentic. I have ordered things here that, by the last few bites, I could barely finish because of how bad they were. The quesadillas are almost painfully salty, and the vegetarian tacos I ordered were awful and missing the corn.

The ambiance is nice though, and I've always been seated quickly even when it was busy. The food is not worth it though.

Wonderful food every time and very reasonable also.  Portions are substantial.  Had the mussels and calamari in spicy lobster sauce and the fish tacos... More than enough for two!
