I want to love this place because we don't have much out here in four corners. It is great to sit near the fireplace and the staff is wonderful - wine OK - the food not so much. I have had food there three times now and it seems to be going downhill. I hope once they are on track as a new business there will be some consistency with the food items. It is a nice place to have a glass of wine but right now the food is marginal.
Review Source:I didn't think this place would be good and thought, "oh another coffee place just like Starbucks", but I was wrong. This place is AMAZING!
Not only do they serve coffee & pastries, but they serve wine and food. From panini, salads, sandwiches, etc. Â They have happy hour!
They have a fire place that is two sided so it shows in the outside and inside of the restaurant so it feels cozy.
I've tried their spice chai tea latte and caramel frappuccino. It's way better than Starbucks! Like 10x better. OMG! Yummy!
They are location in the lot of Fred Meyers to the left, next to the nail salon.
Surprisingly beautiful inside--really classy. Â Good menu, and I had a wonderful cappucino. Â We also shared a delicious cheese/fruit plate that was a steal at $5 during Happy Hour (3-6). Â Can't wait to go back and try out some other menu items. Â I hear that the Caprese Salad (also $5 on the Happy Hour menu) is great. Â Good addition to Maple Valley.
Review Source:I just went The Spot in Maple Valley for the first time. I had a stack a grading to do and hoped for a less frenetic environment than Starbucks. The place is well designed and decorated, offering a variety of seating arrangements and a gas lit fireplace. My husband and I ordered a drip coffee and a hot chocolate but we were less than impressed with both our seeming commonplace items. The Spot doesn't supply cream and sugar for customers to add on their own; instead they ask and add at the counter - not a gross service failure but definitely not our preference for coffee shops. The hot chocolate was awful - pretty certain it was a dry hot chocolate packet added to lukewarm water or skim milk at best. I had actually looked originally for herbal tea but they only offer three options and no basic flavors like mint, etc. What finally made us choose to head over to Starbucks was the indoor temperature. Â We sat at a table near the fireplace (not next to it) and our feet were freezing but our upper bodies/heads were hot! Â I think the flooring (stone over concrete) doesn't fare well for keeping the place a comfortable temperature. Â Overall, The Spot looks nice when you walk in but the coffee/hot drinks products are not good and I'd recommend dressing in layers if you want to hang out at all.
Review Source:Exactly what the neighborhood needed. It is a bit classier than Hop Jack's across the way so it's a nice alternative. It is really neat inside which we weren't expecting from the outside and the rest of the strip mall. The flatbreads were delicious and the wine/beer we had was great too. Not cheap but not overly pricey.
Review Source:Kind of hard to find, but great place when you get there. Â Fairly new. Â Owner spared no expense. Â Everything here is classy and top quality. Â i had the Prime rib sandwich. Â Delish! Â And with enough Au Jus that you don't run out! Â Also had the bruschetta (5 stars) and the caprese salad (average) Â Barista made me a kick a** white chocolate white coffee that gave me some zing for the rest of the evening. Â Kudos to Tim Jamie and Christa who all gave exceptional service!
