It's a neat little place if you like little dive bar type places. Â There isn't a whole lot of seating because the place is small and they have a pool table.
I went in the winter, so unfortunately I didn't get to take advantage of their patio area, but it looks nice! Â Right on the water.
They don't have food, but you're welcome to order pizza to be delivered.
I finally got to Spraders after 2+ years of living in White Lake. Â It's small, hyper-local and totally friendly (staff and patrons alike). Â Brought along a friend visiting from FL and she LOVED IT and wants to go back before she leaves (we're both fans of the tiny and the 'divey'). Â We popped in late afternoon/happy hour time about when the Tigers were set to play Game 4 (which set them Series bound). Â In honor of the game they had free hot dogs for the taking. Â Nothing fancy, but gut-filling and a nice surprise because we were hungry. Â The deck/water area was closed, but if you sit at the right tables you are blessed with a view. Â There were TV's placed in all directions so that you can catch whatever game is scheduled to be watched from every angle. Â The (ladies) bathroom was basic and nice at the same time. Â Small, but clean, too. Â Almost had a ladies touch with certain details.
If you're into fancy schmancy and are into airs, go elsewhere. Â They probably don't want your kind there anyway. Â One can probably afford to go to Spraders every night for a couple of drinks even in this crappy economy. Â Just to give you an idea of how affordable this place is, I had 3 drafts and the BFF 2 Rieslings and my tab was $14 before tip. Â Seriously, how can you beat that? Â They also had interesting shot and drink lists on the table (hot and cold) which I want to delve into on future visits. Â I definitely look forward to frequenting Spraders during the warmer weather. Â They seem to have an active Facebook page so hit 'em up there too. Â Oh, super kudos to Lynn the bartender who was great and attentive.
ETA: Â We went back the next evening and that experience was deserving of 2 stars. Â My friend got face and hat-molested by what seemed to be a creepy regular. Â Nope, this would be strictly be a day visit place for me. Â Oh, no food as others have stated, but they do have chips for sale by the bar.
Stopped by Spraders on a very hot summer afternoon. Â No A/C, however if was well ventilated. Â I was very comfortable. Â I was really in the mood for an ice cold beer, and maybe some of those deep fried mini tacos. Â They have good beer specials, however no food. Â Great view of the lake. Â The place appears to be one of the old cabins in the area converted to a bar. Â It has a nice small deck and a dock on the lake.
