Styrofoam and a deep fryer. Â This place has so much potential to do simple burgers and fresh sea food, but they take the easy, cheap & unhealthy way. Not one item was not pre-made or frozen.
Any restaurant owner that still uses styrofoam just says , "I don't give a "^#*&$!" Â Not even a decent glass of wine, and Summerland winery is right across the street. Â It's just sad that after the beach we could roll up here and enjoy but the food is inedible. Â Please please owner, re-do the menu with fresh food.
Maybe it is silly for us to think that a seafood restaurant 500 yards away from the beach would have some sort of local dish from a place overwhelmed with fishing decor. Maybe it's too expensive. Maybe it goes bad too quickly unlike its frozen compadres. Just thought we might luck out and score a fresh fish catch. If they do, advertise that. We had the frozen, fried fish and bagged, frozen french fries also were disappointing as I am still sweating out the salt from them. 10+ bucks seamed a bit much for what you're paying for. Too bad that they have to depend on tourists traveling along the majestic 101, instead of a local following that might allow more creativity.
