Stacy's Cafe

Tried Stacys for first time.   Very surprised at how many good reviews it had.  Place is a dump.  Very much like the outside.  Food was pretty bad, over salted and over greasy.  Service was slow.  Place was full and loud.  Overall its bad.  What you see on the outside is what you are going to get inside.

This place my not be fancy, but WOW the food is fantastic.  You get downtown quality meals at a fair price.  The steaks are always cooked just the way I ask for them and the seafood is perfectly done.  The bartenders are terrific and they poar a great drink without putting you in the poorhouse.  The customers are all having a good time and are a friendly bunch that always welcome a new face.  It's only a couple of blocks north of I290 on Mannheim Road.  It's easily as good, and probably better then anyplace in the Oak Brook -Lombard area.  Give it a try. You won't regret it.

It's an old decor but the food is always fresh and everything is made right there an old fashion resturant run by family.
The cocktails are huge and very good prices. I recommend the bone in ribeye rare you won't find a better steak anywere
Even at Gibsons and the baked onion soup is unbeliveable. Soup and salad come with dinner also potato no alacart bull crap. Sit  at the bar have fun then eat a spectacular meal. Love this place Rugman
