Stage West

I honestly don't know what to say about this place, it's just... bad.

The bouncers seem a bit on edge, and I can honestly say: it's not their fault. There's plenty of people acting like complete assholes here (I saw some trying to stand on chairs). The music is the only really decent thing here. Sometimes the drinks can be pretty cheap too, but I don't think it's really worth it, the atmosphere is toxic. It's not very large either, so it gets crowded and cramped pretty fast. The attached pool hall (technically a separate establishment) is actually a lot better than the club, but it gets a lot of spill over so don't expect much.

Overall, I'd recommend trying some other place, Wichita Falls may not have many other options, but I think they all might be better than this one.

Stage is the worst club to which I've ever had the misfortune of going. I recognize that I am not indicative of the audience to which Stage caters, because Stage's clientele would never phrase an opinion the way I just did, nor would Stage's clientele suddenly turn an opinion into a meta moment, nor would Stage's clientele even know what any of this means, because frankly, the dudes that go to Stage are dumb. They're really really really really really dumb. They're the kinds of guys who go to a club to sexually harass girls under the protection of large groups and dark lighting. They're the kinds of guys who overrun the nearby Whataburger and solicit fights through profanity and racist/sexist vitriol. They're the kinds of guys who, because being a decent human being is such a boner-kill, don't understand or care to understand that pretty girls don't always appreciate being groped and grinded on by complete strangers.

Stage is where the lowest of the low like to creep, and while the club itself may not be directly at fault for its douchey demographic, it certainly has done a great job of cultivating that following and catering to their salacious desires. That said, the drinks are extremely cheap, so if nothing I said earlier in this review makes your skin crawl, then I suppose this is a great place to get drunk. I'm positive the aforementioned dudes agree.

If you're an anthropologist or animal biologist looking for links to our Neanderthal ancestors, then I can understand your interest in this place, but if you have even an ounce of class or give even the tiniest shit about respecting women, then stay clear of this hellhole.
