In Starkville to see a MSU game and found this place on Yelp. Â I walked there from the Hampton Inn on US-12. Â Easy walk once you dodge the traffic on US12.
Staggerin is located in a student neighborhood. Â On friday night around 7:00pm was a mixture of families and students. Â By time we left around 8:45 it was starting to trend more toward students.
Wait staff is friendly and constantly checking in to make sure we had enough drinks etc. Â Had a grilled chicken salad with buffalo sauce which was fine about what you'd expect from a sports bar.
But real reason to come here is for the TV's, friendly staff, and proximity to MSU campus before games.
Don't miss the gumbalaya. Awesome Cajun flavors. Chicken and waffles were simple, southern and amazing after the addition of some franks red hot (I put that shit on everything). Beer selection is pretty damn good, especially for a small college town in MS. Walking distance from campus, it's the perfect after game brew spot. All was excellent both times (the topless hot chick-a sandwich- was also pretty outstanding). Enjoy!
Review Source:This place is delicious!! I love the mozzarella sticks and the buffalo chicken sandwich! The food is not typical bar food it is gourmet and will keep you coming back for more! Â They have a lot of tv's. Real neat place to go, it has a warm welcoming feeling to the atmosphere. Â I will be back soon!!
Review Source:This place is great! Â It's in the Cotton District on Maxwell Street (where the Grill used to be before they moved). Â The wings are big and cheap (50 cents/each from 3-6 Monday through Friday). Â The "dawgy style" and the "starkville style" are my two favorite, although the traditionals like hot and bbq are good too. Â
They have several tvs throughout the place with games on, as well as a big screen behind the bar. Â The waitress (Emily, I think) was great, and the manager seemed cool too. Â Highly recommended!
