This is going to be a lengthy review, as it is the strangest place I have ever been to. You pull up to a light display and a shady two story building in the middle of nowhere Texas. A little creepy. Kind of like the house in Hansel and Gretel trying to invite you in. The only places around it are the bunny room, and doll house next door. I wonder what goes on in there? You walk in and there is a 5 dollar cover. Do not use the ATM as it does not give you the correct amount back. Luckily it happened to the 2 people in front of me and I borrowed money from a friend. You walk in and there is an ice skating rink size dance floor with a ring of seats around it. People are line dancing, yes I said line dance, with cowboy hats on. I stared in awe for awhile. Apparently no girl refuses if a guy asks her to dance. This was intriguing, too bad I don't know how to line dance, but I now want to learn. The place had tons of bar stations, which was great. The crowd was redneck/cowgirl/cowboy type. Then all of sudden at 11, they switched to new music (hiphop/r&b, KISS FM type stuff). The dynamics of patrons immediate changed with the music genre. The crowd now was cow folk, military, hiphopsters, teenyboppers, goth kids and working girls. That is right, apparently business was slow at the bunny and doll house, so the girls came to Starlite to recruit and solicit customers. The age range was about 14-50. Sometimes you see people and they are questionably 21, well there was no mistaking that these kids had their parents drop them off. I think I saw a tamagotchi in one girls pocket. The drinks were helacheap, less than $2 for a domestic. Overall this was a crazy experience and I would recommend it especially for the out of towner. You will not know what is going on here, between the honky dancing, call girls, and wet t-shirt contest. As for the previous review stating that this place is racist, I could kind of see that based on the patrons there before 11, but after 11 I don't see that at all. The crowd was well mixed, and all the people where very friendly. Hey, I have red hair and they let me in. Maybe things have changed since you last went there. And on a side note, I realized how much I appreciate the no smoking laws in NJ. The place had high ceilings, so it wasn't bad, but people smoking inside now annoys me.
