    Great breakfast!

Don't let the outside appearance of this small white trailer fool you. This little greasy spoon is located along Route 313 on the New York/Vermont state line, serving breakfast (anytime) and lunch 7 days a week including Christmas Day. This diner has a Vermont address and phone number, but its physical location is technically in New York State.

The interior has a very old school diner feel with cozy atmosphere with an open kitchen/grill, long counter with stools and a few tables. The walls have several specials posted, completed coloring book sheets, and lots of photos of customers who've dined here.

The breakfast menu offerings include eggs, eggbeaters, omelets, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, homefries, cereal, and sides, plus order by number breakfast combos served with coffee. The lunch offerings include grilled & cold sandwiches, steak subs, soup, burgers, fried foods, milk shakes, and soda. The prices are reasonable, most items under $7.

On my way over to NH, I stopped in at the State Line Diner for breakfast during the mid morning (9:30AM) on a typical weekday. The place was pretty quiet and empty. I also printed out on online Entertainment coupon (BOGO) for this place too, which was the main reason for stopping in. I was mighty hungry coming in!

I strolled in and took a seat at the counter. Sue was running the entire place solo, doing the cooking, serving, and cleaning the place up after the breakfast rush and before lunchtime. Some country music (WGNA) was playing in the background. I was offered coffee while I perused the menu. The coffee was brewed strong, just the way I like it! I decided on the #3 ($5.85): 2 Eggs with 1/2 homefries with 2 sausage (I ordered patties), English muffin & coffee. For my second choice, I ordered some French Toast ($4.25-free with coupon). I was also given a free orange juice to even out the value on my first breakfast entree, score!!

The food was cooked to ordered on the grilled and served nice and hot. This really big breakfast was cooked to perfection to my liking. The scrambled eggs were thick/soft and fluffy. The homefries were fresh cut potatoes, grilled crispy outside and very tasty. The toasted English muffins had lots of butter. The 2 sausage patties were grilled well done. The French Toast (3 thick slices of egg dipped Texas toast) was also really good and tasty. The check for this big breakfast came out to only $6.25 after discount and before tip. The service was prompt, friendly, and informative.

I was also offered another cup of coffee before I headed off on my 3 hour drive on back roads to Manchvegas, NH. I was pretty wired for the rest of the day.

    Cash only

NOTE: The place closes around noontime, 12:30PM on weekdays.
