    Never had a bad meal.
This place has a lot of history in the area.
Sometime the waitresses are bad. Usually the young ones. But the food and portions more than make up for it.

When you think of the ideal diner, this is what comes to mind.  Friendly, down-to-Earth staff, generous proportions and an assortment of creative comfort makes the Steel Trolley Diner a must-stop if in the Lisbon area.

Grew up on this place a little. Greasy spoon, 50's vibe, food cooked right there where you can watch. They've added a ton of food to the menu and changed it quite a bit in that respect, but all for the good. A must visit if you are in the area for a few days and never been.

Truly a part of old Americana here.  A classic diner that stays open all the time with the typical server cook relations and strange folk all around eating at odd hours of the day in a town that time has mostly forgot in many ways.  They have won national awards for their burgers.  They have over 15-20 different burgers.  You can also get other diner-esque food including a basket of fries and the classic stand by diner drink, coffee.

PS. the burgers are great and filling.  I try to take people here all the time due to the awesomeness of it.  It's a great stop on the way back from the flea market in Rogers on Fridays.

Definitely a must eat, except if you are a vegetarian.

My wife and I happened upon the Steel Trolley Diner while taking the scenic route into Pittsburgh this summer.  We didn't want to eat chain restaurant fare, but options were looking slim as we pulled into Lisbon.

Imagine my relief when I spied not only a local restaurant (support for local school teams written in the windows, etc), but a genuine manufactured diner - now that's Americana!

We had burgers and a piece of the oatmeal pie.  Everything was great, waitress was friendly, food came out fast.  What more can you ask for at a diner?

It is a greasy spoon so dont expect to eat healthy why you are here. Everything is amazingly good. My two favorites are the trainwreck with brown gravy and the Rodeo burger. Anything you get here is awsome though! Totally recommend it! downsides are the service is the worst and i mean worst. and the prices should be a bit lower! they are open 24 hrs!!!! desserts r great and you can order breakfast, lunch and dinner anytime. I am giving 3 stars due to the service and i had under cooked panacakes a few times.

Go for the kitschy 50s diner vibe. Greasy burgers with great toppings, but the actual quality of the burger is average at best. If you're a gourmet burger hound like i am, you'll always say "meh, i've had better".

I loved the greasy spoon vibe, and i'm glad we made the hour drive to check them out.

this has the best cheeseburgers. and the cheeseburger is loaded with shredded Cheddar cheese.. The menu has looks of options but I always get cheeseburger and fries.. If you get any kind of sauce or extras on your fries. dont get cheese on it.. They put way too much shredded cheese on their fries to really to be able to taste what else you get on it.

My 6 year old son loves eating here. He loves the pancakes and milkshakes. And the first time he came here be fought like crazy to eat at mcdonalds instead. then the second time he prefered to eat here instead of mcdonalds.

Who'd think that Lisbon, Ohio would be home to a celebrity diner and chef.  I thought I'd heard the place on FoodTV before, but it didn't hit home until I thoroughly read the website.  The place has great charm, the staff is friendly, and the food is great.  I love that the location/building defines the menu and the experience.  It's very creative and well thought.  Even better, the food is great and very inexpensive.  The only drawback was to my waistline, but worth the indulgence.

This is a great diner! It has the menu that looks like a novel, the desert case has mile high pies, and you can watch your food being cooked in front of you!
I have eaten lunch here which was awesome, just was you expect from a diner. I had a cheese burger and fries. The fries were home-made and I got more than any 4 people should eat.
I also had breakfast here. I had the french toast and homefries with onions. My mother had the veggie omlet and my dad had the Denver omlet. Everyone enjoyed their food tremendously!!!
Not to mention the prices are perfect. I beleive each of my meals was around 5 dollars!!
