Streetcar Station

This ice cream shop was created to give the local teenagers jobs in the summer.  You get all your basic ice cream flavors as well as some with a twist and some sundae-type concoctions.  Most notable are the grasshopper pie (mint ice cream, fudge and oreos) and several different versions of Mackinac Island Fudge.  They also can dip your ice cream in fudge or butterscotch and have organic bison meats available.

This ice cream store is housed in a building that used to be a streetcar station before Ahmeek became a virtual ghost town.  Now they sell about 20 varieties of Jilbert's ice cream, including my all-time favorite Blue Moon, which is raspberry ice cream with an almost radioactive blue coloring which I do believe enhances the cool, fruity flavor.  Yum!
