First of all, this is a CLUB. Don't go here if you are expecting a cozy fun place to sit around chat with buddies. If you visit this bar during the daytime, grab a beer and some amazing food from the kitchen, it could probably fit that bill. If any of you have ever been to a big club, it is a volume situation. Of course the bartenders aren't personable....there are 500 people yelling drinks at them constantly, all they care about it serving the drinks as fast as possible to ensure everyone gets served. It's not personal guys! I can say this because I used to bartend here back in 2007/2008. Yes, it gets packed at nights on the weekends. Yes, people get really drunk and start fights or try to flirt with strangers. Guess what? You're in Pullman- everyone is doing that...but with 2,000 people crammed in one bar, what do you expect?
This is a great place to dance, get late night food, etc. It has it's down sides, don't get me wrong.....but if you don't like a packed bar then maybe you should head down to the Sports Page or something more low key. Some people like the atmosphere this bar provides.
Typical college bar. During the week only the upstairs level is open and on the weekends they open the downstairs level where they have a dance floor and they have dancing cages. It's a fun place to go and dance but be prepared to deal with creepy guys and being jam packed in.
I could NEVER get a drink from a bartender here. The bartenders are primarily women. However, my boyfriend at the time (now husband) could be in a mob of people 3-4 feet away from the bar and they would pick him out and serve him right away. Guess it helps he is very good looking.
Parking is very limited around here but honestly if you are going to Stubblefield's/Mikes you shouldn't be driving in the first place because why else would you go here if it wasn't to have a few too many drinks?
Oh Stubblefields, AKA Mikes, Stubblefizzy. There is a reason for the one star, so bare with me. First of all, this place staff themselves the most unprofessional employees ever. The manager/DJ has a horrible work ethnic, where he thinks "he puts on" for Pullman. Wrong! DJ Goldfinger has to be the worst DJ I have ever experienced. Not only does he play the same songs throughout the weekend, he leaves out the best part of the song.
The price of drinks are dirt cheap, its because they're the worst type of alcohol anyone can possibly buy. How do they fool people? By filling the expensive bottle with the cheap stuff. This bar seems like it always have some cool promotion going on. But in reality, they not only stole other bars' idea but they also steal their contests and specials. Very creative guys. Indeed this place is packed, it is packed with douchebags and sluts. There isn't a weekend I don't witness a fight of some sort.
This might be a fun place for the recent 21 people. But give it a couple months, it will get old. People are obligated to go to this bar is because there is nothing else to do in Pullman. By the way, when they say this is the new sh*t. Don't believe them, it usually means it's been out for couple months but its new to the Pullman scene. I will end this review with a quote from the bar "if you haven't got her numbers by now, you probably won't".
This is definitely a college bar. It's crowded and loud. The main bar is upstairs, and there's food as well. Friday and Saturday nights they open the dance floor downstairs, which also has a few bars. It's always really crowded and full of sleezy guys, but it's a good place to get a group of your girl friends to go and dance. I always have fun when we go there.
