Subway

Too bad it's in a dying town like Houghton. Stopped here for a water on the way through to Letchworth. Subway's the only business in town besides a motel and a chinese food restaurant. Even the gas station closed down. It's a dry town, so I guess not a great place for a restaurant, and it has a kinda wacky fundamentalist christian college that is apparently dying off with the town due to bad management and general malaise according to people eating in the Subway. Too bad, it's a lovely campus. The Subway is in an old restored home on Rt. 19 which used to be called Jockey Street as the Genesee Valley Canal ran through here. Looks like they could use something else going through it. The inside is really nice except for the Subway smell which stuck to me for the rest of the ride according to my bf.
